Back away from the edge Hawk fans!

Would agree with the OP. This is nothing new for Iowa we have always played suspect in start of season, dreams of playing in the playoff is not realistic at all..

I think Iowa's schedule will have to be upgraded big time to be considered in a 4 team playoff for the championship.

I'm right there with you. I'm becoming apathetic, and I drive from Madison to see these games. I'm seriously evaluating the season ticket situation for next year. Watching Iowa is often brutal and mind numbing. The trouble is that it's repeatable. Things don't seem to be improving. This offense is truly horrible, and that's a shame. They have some decent athletes on that team. I thought this was the year to watch in terms of offense and overall program trajectory, and I still do. We'll see...
You realize that describes Iowa's offense under KOK perfectly?

I won't back away from the edge this time. I gave KF the benefit of the doubt in 2011 to let GD get his offensive system in. Now that it is in, it is a disaster, and is looking to be the biggest problem that this program has right now. I had alway thought that KF strengths far outweighed his weaknesses. Now I think it is 50/50 and I just can't keep overlooking the same freaking weaknesses year in and year out. If the offense can somehow show significant improvement (which I highly doubt) going forward, I will gladly move back from the edge. If they don't and things are crappy again this year (making 3 of the last 4 years crappy) I'm done. No more season tickets, no more supporting KF.
Sadly, this sums it up for me.

The people who say the problem is GD were also saying tbe problem was KOK and then also say it is ultimately KF because he (1) hired them and (2) approves the game plan.

Then they say the GD era should be over. Some even say immediately. Why? Hiring a new OC isn't going to solve the issues. There is only one action that will.

Ironically I have come to that conclusion listening to a KF supporter provide facts while emotionally agonizing over loyalty to KF while pointing out the failings of offensive football at Iowa for 16 years and not the immature emoting of KF-haters.

Emotions aside the answer to fixing Iowa football is becoming obvious. It just needs, to borrow a phrase, "better execution" by Hawk fans

I really miss Hayden's opening game where we would trounce opponents into the ground 56-10. Under Hayden we got to see the second and third string players. Not KF, hell no! The weaker the opponent the more conservative he plays it. You all know this is true. It is total BS!!!!!!!

I dont know what fantasy island some people live on. KF was not given one of the best contracts in college football Just to be a mediocre coach with mediocre results. It's simply unethical for anyone to take a top salary in any profession and produce such pathetic results. At Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, half of the SEC conference, he would have been let go a long time ago. Why is this acceptable at the University of Iowa? Why?

I really dont care if half of his players make it to the NFL. If they don't learn how to play and win as a TEAM then it is meaningless. It sure doesn't show up on his recruiting. His in conference record is average at best.

COACH, man up and do the morally, ethically right thing and step down and let the university give someone else a chance to rebuild the football program. You have them by the footBALLS with this HUGE contract. Do the right thing.

I am sorry, this has been bothering me for days now. Is the common expression,

"Back away from the edge" or
"Back away from the ledge" or both or neither ?
