B1G Sweet Sixteen games

Who wins tonight? Iowa has as good of knowledge as anyone on these teams and their opponents. Played Baylor in the NIT championship last year, beat Virginia at Virginia last year and met Tennessee last week.

I've got the B1G going 2-1 in this round. I think Michigan rolls Tennessee by 7+ points. Michigan is hot right now and Stauskas and Levert are confident players and should have big games on the perimeter.

MSU also rolls Virginia. MSU won't be denied in their quest to keep Izzo's Final Four streak alive. The entire team is healthy and MSU is simply more talented than Virginia who probably struggles to put up 60pts in this game. MSU can focus their defense on Virginia's best player (Joe Harris) and pull away early in the second half.

Wisconsin falls to Baylor for the B1G's only Sweet 16 loss. Hawk fans know what Baylor can do when they're clicking and Baylor is definitely clicking right now. Baylor might be one of the most physically talented teams left in the tourney and Wisconsin will struggle getting clean looks against that Baylor length. Brady Heslip buries 4+ 3-pointers.

MSU--W
Michigan--W
Wisky--L

Baylor is really a hot team right now and I'd lean in that direction. I really think Virginia has a great chance against MSU and thats my upset. Louisville and Kentucky will be a great game but I think Pitino comes out ahead. Don't be surprised to see UCLA thump Florida as much as that would disappoint all the Alford haters.

Maybe I'm biased because of our NIT run last year and who we played but I can't see MSU losing to Virginia. Not a chance. Virginia won't be able to score. The fact that we beat them at their place last year clouds my view of them.

I also don't see it for Wisky for the same reasons. Baylor looked WAY more athletic than the hawks in that NIT final last year and I think they'll do the same thing to Wisconsin. In fact Baylor is a lot like Kentucky this year. Both teams really underperformed in relation to their talent during the regular season. UK and Baylor might be the most gifted teams left. No way Kentucky should have been an #8 seed but that's what they deserved. Baylor shouldn't have been a #6 seed either with their talent

UCLA thump Florida?

No way. It may be a close game, but I see Florida winning it because of the below average defense of UCLA big men. UCLA goes for steals a lot, and pay for it because of their overplaying for the steal.

Looking forward to the Baylor/Wisconsin game. Interesting matchup. Wisconsin is better prepared to handle athletic teams than they have been in the past. Baylor hasn't been a great defensive team this year. That will kill them against a team like Wisconsin that really makes you earn defensive stops. Would really like to see Baylor win this one.

Baylor has the athletes to take wisconsin out of their game.

I like MSU in their matchup, or against anyone to be honest. Wiscy I'm not sure of, as I don't think they have a chance if they aren't hitting from the outside. I think Michigan has their hands full. I was very impressed with the pressure their guards put on our shooters and think Stokes is an absolute beast. I think someone from the Michigan front court has to step up huge for them to win.

I haven't ever been on board with Virginia and I'm not there yet. If they beat MSU I will definitely be reconsidering.

I wasn't at until the end of the year...they beat some good teams that they shouldn't have...Joe Harris is for real and their PG does not get enough credit. MSU does have the advantage with Izzo knowing the VA system when it was at Wisconsin. VA plays in your face d and it is fun to watch.

Florida is going to give UCLA fits. Very bad match-up for UCLA Florida wins 73-56..
