B1G Sweet Sixteen games

No, but their best team losing to a 10-seed that lost tonight probably was. Oklahoma losing again in the second round was. Everyone had Oklahoma St. Smarties as a team to watch and they promptly lost in the second round. K-State, beat by the underachieving Kentucky team as people said heading in.

What other Sucky12 teams am I missing. Also, I don't think anyone is calling Wisconsin/Baylor and upset...if they are then well, they don't know basketball.

i agree that the Big 10 has 3 very good teams and I think 2 will be in final 4. The other 9 teams have a pretty big drop off.

All three have a legit shot, but I just have a gut feeling MSU is going to lose tomorrow night, no particular reason. I am not seeing a Bayloresque performance, but all the love they are getting and now having some time off, do they cool down? Maybe I am reading too much into the time off, not sure, but I just have that feeling.

I'd buy this, if we weren't talking about a coach and a team that routinely makes it to the Final Four. Those guys are used to getting a lot of love. They're Michigan State.

I still think all three B1G teams will make the Final Four and I think it will be MSU and Wisky in the championship game.

The 2014 NCAA championship game will mirror the 2014 B1G championship game, with the same result.

Nope, can't happen. The Big 12 is the goodest conference ever assembled in basketball this year and they have to have at least 3 out of the final 4 teams.

Pretty big drop off?

Michigan got smoked by Iowa, and lost to Indiana.
MSU had losses to OSU, Illinois, and Nebraska.
Wisconsin had losses to Northwestern, OSU, Minnesota, and Indiana.

Now those three teams are proving right now that they are certainly the best in the B10, and I fully understand good teams lose games that they shouldn't. However, I think it's pure BS for you to suggest there is this big drop off. Especially this year. B10 teams were beating eachother left and right. The league was as wide open as it's been in years in my opinion.

I grew up in a family mostly dominated by ISU fans. While the B10 was beating up on each other all I heard was "God the B10 is terrible. Wisconsin lost to Northwestern. MSU lost to Nebraska. What a freakin joke!". The funny thing is I stood by while all of them were saying the B12 is the best conference, and I said "Let's wait and see which conference sends the most teams the furthest in the big dance before we get too carried away with things. That's the ultimate factor when deciding which conference is the best". And look where we're at now...

If Iowa State beats UConn, which I think they are capable of if they keep shooting lights out, then they will not beat MSU. They probably could have made it a good game with Niang, but without him there's no way they have what it takes.

What's strange is the SEC is 8-0 because they could get only 3 teams in The Dance, and one came via a play-in game. Talk about a major drop off in talent from the Top 3 to the rest of the teams in the conference. That says it all.

#2 Big 10 team beating #7 Big 12 team is probably not a big upset.

Keep going. KXNO's Treecare Expert and Brinson will be looking for any and all ideas for their Little 12 excuse list - which ties in nicely with their Clown homerism.

One of Wisconsin's advantages is Kaminsky, perhaps the best center playing in the Big. He is very hard to stop, and a demon on D, and makes it look easy. As the announcers said. Wisconsin put on a clinic. Arizona will be very tough, but if the Badgers are on, they will pull the upset.....

If Michigan is hitting their threes and can play in transition they will win especially if Staukaus is on they should defeat Tenn. We took them to overtime not even playing well. They will fall to the Wolverines....

Michigan State is a Machine and will beat everyone in their way. They are playing as well as ever late in the Big, and I don't think Virginia will be ready for them. Izzo always has his teams ready to play in the Tournament. I think they are unstoppable all the way to the Championship.....

It would be very enjoyable to see three Big teams in the Final Four, however I don't necessarily want to see an all Big final. Wisconsin has a very tough opponent in Arizona....

Yeah, ISU fans have been chest pounding saying how the Big12 is the best conference and the BIG sucks. I get it if you think that the Big12 is SLIGHTLY better, or the BIG is SLIGHTLY better, as a case could be made for both. I was always saying wait and see what happens in the NCAA as well, as they is the "tie breaker" to me, as I think the Big12 was a good conference, certainly on par with the BIG, but they were not measurable better than the BIG, and I think the NCAA tourney has proven that in fact the BIG is better.

It would be nice to see an all Big final, however I have seen Michigan play Michigan State three times this season and Wisconsin play Michigan and Michigan State twice.....

By the way Wisconsin won at Virginia, 48 -38......

I still have my doubts about ISU being able to advance any farther with the loss of Niang. Thought Wisconsin played masterfully last night. Surprised at how impressed I was with them. Baylor looked like they had the worst game of their entire season and on the very worst night that could have happened. Not so sure about Michigan, but thinking Michigan State will continue to shine!
