B10 media days

Fant is a good choice.
Otherwise I would probably think upper class men.
Isn't that usually the case?
Probably Fant, a lineman and maybe a DB/safety??

i thought it had to be (or kirk only takes) SR's. My lead pipe locks are: Hesse and Easley. Then either Hockaday/Mends/Snyder/Gevase. Of those, I'll say Snyder.

Hesse
Easley
Snyder

Hesse being the only one that really deserves it based on performance. The other two are kirk's guys who are "program" guys. Can't be flashy.

Yeah, idk, but it does seem to be upper class men.
Hesse and Mends would be good. Easley is too. We need a wr to go and represent. Plus he got the hustle award last year, so he kind of deserves it.

It doesn't have to be a SR, unless Ferentz requires it. Most attendees are though.

Matt Nelson, Parker Hesse and Keegan Render.

That's my guess. I don't know.

other than Snyder, I went with known starters. i mean, you could send the SR's that are in the book club, but might as well send players that are going to start. Not sure if Nelson is one, but Render is a candidate also. Actually, makes sense for a school that can be known as OL "U"

Nelson started 13 games at defensive end in '16 then selflessly moved to DT last year, where he started the last seven games. Not to mention he's a outstanding student.

I'd be very surprised if Nelson wasn't in Chicago.

A flash back to Point, Counter Point. Remember that show? You're probably more right than I am. I was thinking Snyder the "feel good story" the "true grit story" and Easley cuz he's a WR.

I don’t remember that show but it’s pretty much every show on the news networks these days. :)

I’d be surprised if Snyder went because of the DUI. I’d be less surprised by Easley but still think he’ll go with guys that have been here since they were freshmen.

I also could see him taking Stanley.

I think Parker Hesse and Miguel Recinos are a lock. I'm not sure about the third man. I'm guessing Nick Easley, but could easily see Noah Fant or Nate Stanley going.

I think the only time in recent history they have taken someone who wasn't a Senior was Josey Jewell two years ago and they made a pretty big deal about it. So I think it will be three Seniors, and I agree with Rob, the DUI knocks Snyder out of the running. The only non-Senior that I could see that they would possibly take would be Stanley. And if you think about it, our best players are underclassmen, a good sign for the future.

I agree with everything about this except Stanley. He will get his shot next year, Fant might not be here next year. Fant would be my non senior guess.
I agree about the future as well, Might be tougher in the future to decide on who goes.

Only non-senior to go in last 10 years was Jewell.

I am guessing they will make an exception for Fant because he is the only consensus pre-season all-Big Ten on the team and he is likely to leave early for the NFL draft.

Hesse will be a 4 year starter and seems like a good one to send.

Since it is not obvious who the 3rd one is, I am going to guess it will be Stanley. Iowa will want to start promoting him more as potentially one of the best in the Big Ten and this will be the start of that

Fant
Hesse
Stanley

Neil Lomax not only set the record as the oldest fifty something senior in the history of the conference, he changed sides of the ball and became an African American in the process.:p

Jordan Lomax, however, had a nice career as a Hawkeye, however. Until he was isolated one on one against Christian McCaffrey in the Rose Bowl.

Yeah I know it's not easily googled. :)
Some pretty good company on that list.
I still don't think Stanley is the choice for a non sr.
I think you have to fake Fant. Could be one of the highest drafted in awhile.
Let our passing game open up this year and Stanley would be a excellent choice for next year.

Was he the Cardinal's QB on the original Tecmo Bowl?

Was he the Cardinal's QB on the original Tecmo Bowl?

Okay, just tried to answer my own question, and stumbled into a great site for those of the 8-bit Nintendo age range:

https://tecmogeek.com/players/qb/

Also, there were no Arizona Cardinals in the original Tecmo Bowl (only 12 teams). And the Cardinal's QBs for Tecmo Super Bowl were Timm Rosenbach and Tom Tupa.

Sorry to get off topic.
