I think the article is trying to imply, without proof, that the "hostesses" are paying off the players. I honestly doubt Auburn is that stupid. Maybe these girls have that money because, ummm, they have paid jobs?

I thought the NCAA outlawed hostesses for sports only. I was under the impression that these positions had to be equal opportunity (to males and females, kind of like being a Hooters waitress) and they had to host both athletes and non-athletes when they gave tours.
