At least we got RB Eric Graham

May be a good signing day addition and pickup, but he's got to land on campus for it to truly pay off.

who knows, and this is purely conjecture/speculation on my part- but this might be the same type of deal as last year with the kid from MO - recruit him to place him at a place like Milford Academy -

The article said we only offered him last night, which means they must have known about losing Higdon by then. Also, the Hudl video below the article lists him at 6'1" 200 lbs. Who knows, but he looks good. I'm not too excited about our recruiting ability overall, but it looks like in this case they did a great job.

i'm sure higdon informed both parties who he was going to pick prior to his formal announcement. just cause he doesn't tell the fans doesn't mean he doesn't tell the people who really matter.

Pretty interesting recruit.. He's always going to have a chip on his shoulder that's for sure.

Sounds like he is on the border of qualifying and is taking the ACT again this weekend. Good score he makes it, not so good he doesn't. That's how I'm interpreting it. That could explain why others backed off especially since we're so close to the finish line.

Sounds like another Markel Smith episode..........hope it ends differently.

i assumed he had his ACT score - based on what the coach said in an article i posted on page 2:

"He was late on taking the ACT," said Autauga Academy head coach Mike Sims. "He took it once in October and then again in December. Even though he had around a 3.0 GPA, it doesn't really matter if you don't have the ACT score. He just got that out of the way in the last month."

You're probably right. I read posts about him tweeting that he was still solid with the Hawkeyes right up until the very last minute, but they were evidently inaccurate. I would certainly hate to be a recruiter and have my success or failure depend on the whims of 18 year old kids.

Just glad that we got at least one RB in this class. Can't believe Higdon flipped to Michigan

This is the article I read. Kind of confusing mid-way in the article and mentions he will take the test again this weekend........why would he take the test again?

According to articles I read lots of other schools were interested, such as Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Ole' Miss and Stanford, but his ACT score kept them from offering. Iowa brought him in last weekend and offered this morning once they lost Higdon. Kid was over looked because he didn't actually have offers. Good student 3.0, good family, both parents are ministers and he likes the nursing program at Iowa. Sounds like a good get and coaches had a good back up plan. Love him on film.
