I went back and watched it and I have no idea what you're talking about.

I saw #24 completely whiff on a tackle attempt, then I saw French try to get an arm on him as he was breaking away. Then French eventually ran him down.

I thought it was a pretty impressive play. Don't pretend it wasn't a great play.

You are forgetting that because he didn't choose Iowa he is therefore overrated and someone we don't need. If he had picked Iowa, he would be looking awesome.
 
I have said this for months before he committed either way, that I thought he was overrated. The only play he made was running a back down from behind. I think he wants to play WR at Oregon, so I don't think it is a big deal. I'm just saying I've never been impressed by him that much, and his play today didn't make me miss him.
 
Coe had a tackle behind the line. He looked good for the little bit that I saw of him. Delvon Simmons was ripping it up as was Aaron Lynch.

I think French looked decent. He would of been a nice pickup but nothing that would change all that much. You can't teach speed but you also can teach effort and it seems at times he doesn't give 100%. They did make a comment during the game that another player and him will transform quickly once they are no longer worried about basketball in high school.

It was a good play...however what I think he means by weak attempt was that French took a poor angle, which allowed the RB to get the corner in the first place.

What does this mean exactly? At no more schollies at his position? They're certainly not done with recruiting. They're not full. Surely they're holding schollies for guys like Cyrus K., etc. Man, no room for an Army AA. Rough.

Maybe they don't have any room left under the salary cap. :D
 
French is a great athlete, we all knew that. But, I don't want athletes who play football. I want football players who are athletes.
