Are You Renewing Your Season Tickets?

I let mine go last season. The tailgating scene is watered down so much that it's not that big of a deal to me anymore. I still went to 3 games last season even without having season tickets. Will probably do the same thing this season. Maybe I'm just getting older...but watching a game in front of a 72" HD with my buddies still makes for a good time.

However, I will never get rid of my basketball season tickets. If I can survive the Lickliter era as a season ticket holder, I can survive anything.

I am renewing this year and if they suck donkey balls I am done for 2014. I had an extra ticket that me and my buddy went in on this year and having nobody want to even go into the stadium to watch the disaster known as Iowa football in the last half of the season was enough to make me question if I need to buy tickets or not. I could have scalped a ticket for $10 or $20 most games last year, so why pay more if I don't need too? Plus I heard Scorp is going to buy a luxury suite for all of the primo HN members this next season anyway.
Hard to imagine selling a ticket for enought to recoup the seat license. $400 divided by 7 games is approximately $57 per game plus the face value of the ticket. Not many people willing to pay that I don't think????

Your entire tailgate expense is $100/week, '33? How does that break down?
I'm guessing $85 worth of Natty Lite + $15 worth of Hy-Vee hotdogs? Pretty darn close - usually graziano sausuge, burgers or chili - plenty of Miller Lite - bottle of McGuillicudys, Fireball, or something similar, and a bag of chips. And plenty of black and gold.

:p  ;)

This past year people were throwing tickets in the trash they couldnt even give away. Saw it before CMU, Purdue and Nebraska. Saw a guy throw 5 Nebraska tickets in the trash who was walking in gate 124, so good tickets. I thought to myself that guy could have sold those in August for 300 a pop and 3 months later theyre worthless.

Yeah, that soft serve ice cream never gets old. Someone should make a nationwide franchise that sells soft serve ice cream, I bet they'd make a killing.

I think we should take some seats out of the stadium so we can keep our percentage of seats filled number higher.

I renewing this year and for many years to come. I love Iowa football and the atmosphere around the program. Also, I don't plan to miss a bowl game either. I've been to every bowl game since the cap one bowl and don't plan to miss another.

I probably will- but the product now sucks. There was NO reason not to see another QB last year. I am done with Kirk.

Seeing all the people in this thread renewing no matter how bad the team is just proves that Kirk has a job for life (and deservedly so).

I made my highest donation ever this year, in an attempt to get tickets on my own, so that we have another set in the family. I've had the mini season ticket package for two years. I should get tickets, and then my dad and I will be able to let more family members come to more games.

Just wouldn't give up the times spent with family in Iowa City. It's too special to throw away.
