Why do we not start the game with these plays? Why does an offensive explosion only happen when we are down in the second half? Alston what are you doing in route coverage when the game is on the line and the qb is beyond the LOS? Did I expect a win today? Yes in my hawkeye heart, but in my mind, no. Still this loss hurts and next week is nothing but another game.
 
Next week matters if you plan on going to the bowl game..

I personally dont, as I can't even justify attending the games with KF at the helm, but to say it's "just another game" is false.. I think.

A win today should have put us in the top 25, the time management at the end of the 1st half cost us maybe 3 points.. which is the ball game, not having timeouts in the 2nd half cost us time.. this is directly in KF.
 
Blame Canada. Too conservative. Goes for it on 4th down. Attempts to push the ball downfield to end first half. Sad thing is if rudock gets picked and wisky scores people would be blaming KF for doing that.

I agree. Its like we dont start playing to win until we get down. Dont understand why we dont start the gm like we played the 2nd half. Just plum out poor coaching in my book. I put this loss on Kirk and his staff.
 
It seems like all too often the end of the first half ends up hurting us, far more, than helping us.
 
ultra conservative playing calling really hurts. My god it death by thousand paper cuts. I don't know who's crazier KF for pi$$ poor coaching or me for thinking it's gonna change.

Speilman at the end of the first half was begging Iowa to throw to the wideouts. He could see it. Eddie on the radio was saying T. Smith was open all day. Why doesn't our staff see it? WTF? Speilman said what we all have been saying all year....well for 16 years...play to win, dont play not to lose. Alas, what could have been.

With all due respect, I think plan A was to run and control the clock to keep Melvin Girdon off the field. Clearly had to abandon that.

It seems that Wiscy has been blessed recently with incredible individual talent that they can use as their bell cow along with stingy defenses. Wilson. Ball. Gordon. Last we had was Greene. We need another player like that. The only way we can have a special season as long as kf is here.

Wiscy has been blessed with coaches that have a set of balls unlike mrs. Ferentz roaming our sidelines.
