I'm gonna guess you've never played sports at a college level, otherwise you'd know teams can improve dramatically throughout the season.
It was a great win against Wisconsin on the road. The fact that Fran's teams have a pulled a couple of huge upsets is a sign we are on the way up. We will go through some rough patches this year also. As fans we need to stay patient and keep the faith. We have the right guy for the job now.

I dont think so. But it was a great win, and hopefully there will be more. This team will still finish under .500 in league play, so I don't think the 'We're Back' stuff can start until you win more league games than you lose

It was one game. Albeit a great one, it is a long season, and a long road to "back".

who knows? time will tell. I think this team had a chemistry problem during the pre season. not so much a talent or coaching problem. That being said, we will be inconsistent. I see one or two games where we can beat anyone (ie. WI at home) and then a game or two where we fumble (ie Campbell). I just want to see us competitive and for the level of general consistency go up.

This team has mashed well together and are fun as hell to watch. Things went right for us, we played a good game, and got a great win. We might not be "back," but feels like we are on the right path. Unfortunately I remember previous games against lesser of opponents earlier this year that we didn't beat. Although it appears we have improved very much as a team since then.

Yes because the team has played allot of games in between that loss and the Wisconsin win and the level of play by Iowa has clearly been on a steady increase since then, with only one really bad half at ISU mixed in.
Had the Campbell loss happened recently the point would hold allot more weight.

The win at Wisky is at least showing we are heading in the right direction. This team is still going to take many, many lumps this year ... That being said, at least we can see what they are capable of and they are playing better ball recently and that is what you want to see ... We are not "back." But, we are definitely pointed in the right direction ...

We are on our way to being back. In reality looking at the schedule we only have one bad loss, although that loss was really, really bad. Clemson and UNI could very possibly make the NCAA tournament, Creighton is a virtual lock for the tourney, and Iowa State was a rivalry game on the road without Cartwright. Purdue is another likely NCAA tourney team, and we only lost by 3. The team has showed a lot more life in the past few games, and it seems like Fran's lineup tinkering is working. I like May off the bench for energy and defense when needed, but he definitely shouldn't start.
