Are users getting virus messages here?

I just got that same message trying to read a thread in the Football forum.

Using Firefox 3.6 and Windows 7

I saw the same page on a Mac running the latest firefox.

I really started to notice it when the Region Bank flash ads came in. I have a problem about a quarter of the time. I run my Spyware Eliminator and it takes care of the problem. I have noticed this for almost a year now.

What happens is google routinely visits pages. When they visited this page, apparently an ad company had a cookie placement that google flagged as a threat. I am trying to pinpoint which ad it was.

I generally log in and read/post from work. I happened to log in from home on Monday and now am the happy owner of 9 trojan horses that Norton isn't able to delete. I've been through the "manual removal process" no less than 3 times to no avail. Norton says that I can pay $100 to have an "expert" remove the viruses. I'm not quite ready to do that and was wondering if anyone had any advice as to romoving these things? I use IE.

My other question is if I upgraded my Norton or purchased a new McAfee system would that solve the problem? I don't want to pay $100 to have a virus removed and still be succeptible to future attacks if I can upgrade my system for a similar fee and get the same result.

Any advice on this?

Do people with Apple avoid all this nonsense?

Actually, I was out here yesterday reading posts, and all of the sudden, my laptop locks up and bogs down really bad, and I can barely get to any of my other open windows or anything.. It was to the point where I almost had to just shut down my computer. I ran Malwarebytes and it found 6 infected files, which were removed.

I didn't think it had anything to do with this site, but in light of this thread, I'm not so sure?

No, I had not been surfing porn earlier in the day.. I basically only use my laptop at work.
