With the playoffs taking the big ones just not much interest anymore. Now Notre Dame opts out
Players headed to the pros have little reason to play which diminishes teams I still look forward to seeing the Hawks play again but it ain’t the same

If they go to a 24 or 32 team bracket, bowl games will either get rolled in or be 1 off bowls of non P4 runner up schools

If someone wants to pay to have two teams matched up and they can make it work more power to them. If the bowls stay alive that extra few weeks of ores rice add up. Take perennial bowl teams and multiply the number of extra practices they have compared to a Nebraska that went for years without. The number is substantial and valuable to young guys
