Absolutely. But when you look at prediction threads, some folks went so far as to say 5-6/4-8., which would mean 1 or 2 conference wins. One thing we did NOT "count on" was the mis-utilization of Wadley. Some wonder if the Butler injury nixed the idea of moving and motioning him to the slot or out wide. Others lay it all on the Ferentzes. I'm not sure, as I don't know how much is planned toward each game before the season versus the "take it one game a time" approach. Either way, there was definitely some poor planning before there were any problems with execution.

Not a misquote. You said you were "meh" about the PROGRAM since 2012. Dude, you can't walk it back just to change the narrative.

Look, I get you hate KF. No hard feelings on that score, because it--literally--doesn't affect me. But when you change narratives, parameters/expectations/ground rules and, yes, preseason predictions, on a weekly basis, the person most confused by it is you.

You're as "inconsistent" as the football and, now, basketball teams. We never know what you'll say, posit or defend next.

But it's cool. You're a good dude, I can tell, and we're all Hawks fans. We can ALL share in the laughter.

As Kirk said back in 2009 (when computers had us #1), "The computers haven't seen us play".

There is absolutely no way on this planet that the Iowa Hawkeyes are the 28th best team in the country by any objective measure. Hell, we probably wouldn't be Top 28 in Canadian collegiate football.

Just go pick a different team. You shouldnt stand for this!!! We are going to miss you. But it is time to go find yourself a program worthy of you and your monster egos. I mean, you deserve so much better and I'd like to see you get it. You shouldnt sit here and wallow in this mess. Life is short, the ocean and all of the good things are calling. You dont have to put up with one more cold Iowa winter. We should have realized that you are all chosen, destined for greatness. We are so sorry for holding you back. Please, forgive us and move on to better. I know youll have so much fun at your new place rooting for your new team. Gosh it will be so much fun being happy all day. Wow, wont it feel good to smile again, perry como soundtrack playing in your head daily as you skip to work and you enjoy season after season of 12-0? You can do it. You can just pick that new team. There arent even any rules against it. You owe it to yourself, go be happy.
