Anyone shocked by Iowa +6.5

They have Christian McCaffery and more speed. We win by "playing together as a team". So the narrative is out there that they have more talent than us and, all things, being equal, should win. That's the mindset anyway.

Not surprised at all, Vegas has been high on Stanford all year, maybe too much so. They are 2-6 ATS over their last 8 games.

They straight up lost when being 9 pt favorites over Oregon and 13 pt. favorites over Northwestern.

Considering Iowa's past successes in the Rose Bowl, no. Same old story: speedy, talented PAC-whatever team versus slow, plodding team of Midwest farm boys.

Nope. Mich St won by 3 plus "home field" for the Pac team. That's not "no respect". That's about right. Will be interesting to see how much the line moves.

Yeah, plus Stanford has been through this circus recently (vs. our 25 year break) and that experience may count for a point or so.

About what I expected. I mean how can our bib overall wearing country bumpkins who run like they are pulling 5 bottom plows, possible compete with their elite olympic level athletes who run like they have jetpacks strapped to the backs?

I thought that went away with Wisconsin being competitive on all their recent trips.......Guess not.

My first thought was what does that have to do with anything and I just looked it up this is Stanford's 3rd Rose bowl in 4 years. So in other words what you say has merit.

I thought it would start out somewhere between 4-6. So it is on the high end of what I expected.

My guess is the books in Vegas know that they will get a ton of action on Stanford no matter how far out they put the spread. There is a of people that travel to Vesgss from the LA area. Me thinks they are inviting the action and will clean up when the Hawks cover the 6.5.

I thought it would be in the +8/9 range.

Side question. When is the last time Iowa won a game played in the Pacific time zone?
