This isn't accurate. There were several times where the defense DID get burnt. The fact that Jantz throws a below average deep ball doesn't change that. The receivers burnt the defenders and were open. Better QB's will complete those passes.

That said, the defense carried the team today, and did an awful lot to put the team in position to win.

That really isn't an accurate or inaccurate, it's just your POV vs mine. I don't argue that the D was burned scematically multiple times, but they weren't executed. So in the literal version, they weren't burned.

Agree though, the D put us in position to win. They did what they needed to do.
