Anyone Feel half jealous half happy for UNI?

Not jealous at all. Was yelling and sitting on the edge of my seat. Gotta pull for little brother.
 
I'm thrilled they won. Why would anyone in this state root against their success? Ali has some balls that's for sure. I love the Hawks, but I'll jump on the bandwagon for UNI when they're not playing the Hawks!
 
How could anyone not be happy for them? It seems like a good group of kids and was a huge win for the team and the school.
 
I am a lifelong Hawk fan, but a UNI graduate. I got just as worked up today during the KU game as I do for most Iowa games. I now live in KC and most of my friends down here are KU fans. I actually had one of them give me 20 pts. and took KU in a bet. I took that in a heartbeat. Winner, Winner!

Great win for the Panthers. They will be a tough out because of their defense and shooting ability. Plus they have some really good size. With all this being said, I am anxiously awaiting the announcement of Iowa's new coach!
 
I loved it. I'm really rooting for them. Seeing them beat KU really magnified the fun.

I agree with others, if this were ISU, it wouldn't be the same.

Hey, I wonder how the Jayhawks feel...watching K-State win tonight.

I'm a UNI grad as well. I know storminspank is as well. I wonder how many UNI grad but hawk fans are on the site.

I think 99% of UNI grads are Hawk fans, I have many in my family. I have not watched a UNI game all season but I found myself cheering for them as if they were the Hawks. It was awesome and I am very happy for them. They play very good help defense and pass the ball well on offense. That #5 kid is fearless. They are going to get a lot of fans down in St. Louis, will be fun to watch.
 
My brother went to UNI but grew up a Hawkeye fan w/ me in Iowa City. Love to see the Panthers take down Kansas! It'll be interesting to see if they get a stab at Sparty next!

I feel 100% happy for UNI. That was a terrific win, and I have now happily sacrificed my bracket for underdogs (I had Kansas winning it all, and Villanova in my Final Four). I love watching this team play! They're proof that a half-court, defensive philosophy can work against anyone if you have the right players. The defense was amazing, no doubt now that that #2 defensive ranking is legit.

Oman thats not cool. Even if Iowa would have won like that It would have been awsome. The underdog kicked but. The UNI game was excellent and well deserved. UNI better enjoy this, Jacobson will be cashing in now.

You have to understand man that the majority of Hawkeye fans HATE the cyclones and vice versa. This is beyond just a heated rivalry. UNI is like just a neutral, same with Drake for that matter. It's cool to see them do well and pull off some upsets but how can we pull for isu ever? that is straight blasphemy

You guys should go for it! Even if UNI loses it would still be an awesome experience- if you go, paint us a picture when you get back how it was

I think you don't understand what I'm trying to say. I'm really glad they won and hope they keep winning. I just wish Iowa was doing as well as they were right now. I wish them luck the rest of the way and hope for a great hire for the hawks!
