Anyone else frustrated?

Somebody spoke too soon. PSU stopped Corey Clement short on 4th & 1 to seal the deal. I was really happy to see Wisconsin lose, but it reminded me of what could've been had Iowa just tackled LJ Scott instead of letting him slip away.

First thing I thought about was their 4th down conversation. Got it by inches. That close to winning a chance to get smoked by Alabama.

Wisconsin got exposed tonight. That secondary is awful. I'm going to predict that the badgers just saw the beginning of the slow downward spiral. They escaped several close ones this year and won several close ones. The west is going to kick their butt next year and no I'm not an alt of ClintonIafan.

Homer if he were a Badger fan today....

Paul Chryst needs to go, he doesn't play to win. His only goal in running an offense is to run the clock and play not to lose. Clement fumbles the ball two times and he yanks him. We need a dominate defense that doesn't give up all those big plays.

blah, blah, blah. except in 1000 more words.

To be fair, nobody was saying this last year after Iowa lost in the BIG championship game.

After watching this season unfold, it is difficult to be frustrated in how this teamed finished record wide. They had huge deficiencies on offense in the passing game due to lack of quality receivers, O-line difficulties in pass blocking, QB who seemed to be indecisive, and a poor passing scheme. I think people went into the season with too high of expectations based on last year. Could they, should they have beaten NDSU and NW, yes, but not with the issues they had.

Purdue, Minnesota, Indiana, Maryland, Illinois, Rutgers, Northwestern

It could be worse. A lot worse.

Ahhh, there's that true Iowa attitude and spirit! ;)

Nothing like the even-keel, plain-Jane, middle of the road, mantra of mediocrity to keep everyone appreciating their place in the pecking order. Hooray, we're above average! We're not good enough to be great but we're good enough to not be them and, certainly, would never lose to those dregs, right?o_O

Hey kids congrats on an amazing season, you beat a top 2 team had a better record with a conference championship but we as the playoff committee are going to go with a team you beat over you because thats how this country really works you dont have to be the best all season just at certain times as long as you fill the requirement of being a certain hand full of schools. This makes the system a joke and the playoff nothing different than the old BCS.

Spoken like a true child of the 90s. For a very long time, we WERE the dregs. And Seth was around for part of it, as was I

You guys are starting to sound like whining Nebraska fans.

8-4 and a New Year's Day bowl is a great season.
It's a "good" season for upper tier programs, why should we have to settle?

Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of how the kids finished the season but we need to fight for better.

I ask, is there a fan base out there who isn't frustrated and deflated. It seems more and more CFB fans are easily disappointed.

(old far here) I remember when fans would be just flat out happy that the team had a good year and is invited to a bowl in a warm place. Nearly every fan base in the SEC save Alabama are frutrated, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Minny, everybody is less than enthused about their team.

Its a choice I guess.

I remember feeling frustrated 5-6 weeks ago when the football season looked like it was going to end up a train wreck of a season and that I couldn't wait until the basketball season started, with all the promise of the young talent we have.

My, how those two perceptions have flip-flopped.

I guess it's the way the world is becoming.. "Nothing is good enough".
