Anyone at the game today

How was the crowd? On TV it got quiet in 3rd quarter when team seemed ot go into hybernation - seemed like the crowd did too.

A lot of people left at half time. A LOT.
Student section really thinned out and so did the east stands, where the sun was blasting people the whole game.

The people at the game in the second half seemed whipped by the heat, leading to less noise.

Some people thought they heard fans booing Ferentz at the end of the game. Or at least the play-calling. Any truth?

I dont know. I stormed out pretty quickly after the pick. Very disinterested after that.
The heat definately affected the crowd. EMT was called into my section 4 times by the end of the 1st quarter. Even a couple people needed backboards. I really didnt think it was that bad, but I also only had two beers tailgating and drank a yon of water. Am tired now though.

This was the only time in the heat where I felt a bit light headed and dizzy. I still tried to make as much noise as I could until the end , but the heat really killed the crowd.

We were there for the entire game. I wouldn't have said it was quiet. Just like any other game, if there's any spark or momentum from the team, the crowd returns it in spades. There just wasn't much happening in the second half. I will say people seemed much calmer than usual. Maybe it was the heat, maybe it was a lower expectation level, maybe it was knowing we'd ultimately lose in the final minutes as usual. For what it's worth, I did not hear a single boo at the end of the game. People just seem to expect the loss.

After the 3-9 season there will be plenty of empty seats next year.

This. We fully expect to lose to MAC teams at home in close games. That is where this program is, everyone in my section knew we were going to lose after the turd of a 3rd quarter performance.

This was my first season in 9 years without season tickets ... I am guessing the fans were pretty into the game at first ... and then had visions of what happened last year ... an "uh oh, here we go again." And then guessing it was very quiet ... Of course, the hot temps did not help. In the stands it is always about 20 degees hotter than the reported temp with all of the wide bodies in the stands ... The one nice thing about no longer having season tickets ... is simply being able to turn the channel ... Tough loss ... but becoming all too common ...

People in my section were totally ****** after losing this one. One person thought KF should be arrested for fraud.
If KF had any honor at all, he'd give back his salary for the year.
I challenge any of his lick spittles to explain how we are in a better position that we were in 2000.

It has been quiet in general for a while. KF has sucked the life out of this program. Many, many fans thinking of not coming back until he is gone. I am even surprised by this ground swell but the quality of football and even more horrendous decision making is too much to take.

There were a few boos but everyone has seen this rodeo about 500 times. You knew what was coming one way or another.

The sad part is there is some talent on the roster but it is not all on the field consistently and it is inter-mixed with some guys that I am not sure would start at UNI.

Our section (131) was relatively quiet at times except the loud mouth baffoon who sat about three rows in front of us. He threw stuff, kicked chair backs, and reminded everyone in his general vicinity that the offense was stale during the second half. No... Really? I don't think the guy spent much time watching the game. He was too busy telling everyone how stale the offense was.

His reaction after the NIU field goal was epic. It was actually worth the price of admission in all honesty. His wife looked so impressed!

If his life is that consumed by the successes and faults of college kids, might I suggest getting a life? Good god... People are pathetic.

No one was booing at the play calling and if they were they r idiots

if by idiots...you mean knowledgeable fans... yeah. The sideline/game day coaching is pathetic.

All kinds of people were calling out the fake punt, myself included. How does a guy worth $3M/yr and his staff miss it? No excuse
