Anybody ready for basketball?????

No not at all because:

1. I like watching our defense. They played really well and gutsy. You know they gave up a FG/TD from the review on a very short 20 yard field after the Goodson fumble (goodson slammed by a Dee Tackle who wasnt blocked) and they got their other TD on a short field after the INT for a short field after the pass rush crushed Nate.

2. I want to watch Goodson and others develop like his long run. Maybe see the Off Line get it together and get some wins.

3. It is fun to watch Smith and ISM make some nice catches.

4. Watch hustle plays like Toren Young go to the ground blocking in the backfield and get up off the ground and run to the action downfield where B Smith catches runs then fumbles the ball only to have Young recover the fumble.

5. And I guess when you watch and listen to the hawks from their greatness of the late 1950's through 19 poor years then you stay with them.

My post was really more of how I felt about the basketball program then football
 
No! Don't need to watch another Hawkeye lifer coach show how pathetic he is too while cashing checks for incompetence in unison with the one we're watching now!
 
Nope. Other than Wisconsin, they can still get the trophy games. Fran will not give you more(good and bad)than what KF has given you. I can hold off another month til hoops.
 
I'm apathetic about football but it's been a while since I've been able to get genuinely excited about Iowa basketball, too. 20+ years without a Sweet 16, Alford, Lickliter, February and March meltdowns just when things are looking good.. Meh.

Iowa sports in general have been mostly uninspiring. I'm pretty jaded at this point.

What else is there? You want me to get excited about the redbox bowl? You want me to be angry and and start grabbing the pitchfork? In 2019, this is what Iowa athletics is so I am just embracing it.

No, but you can do what everyone else with a pulse will be doing for the next two months...finding better things to do with your time and money.

Naaah, I have been a fan for nearly 40 years and I am not going to tap out now. It is up to you younger folks to be angry and demand change. I'm officially done with the Iowa offense, just rooting for Iowa W's anyway possible at this point.

I can see somebody accepting this but not embracing. Vince Lombardi’s packer offense with Paul Hornung sweeping left or sweeping right every single play was more exciting than this

No. Not at all. Basketball might be worse. Wrestling? Maybe. Just ready to score some meaningful wins. In the B1G.
 
Basketball team will be top two or three in the B1G in scoring again.
Iowa was #1 in conference scoring last year.
FM can flat out coach the O end.
Key will be keeping teams at or slightly under 70ppg. If they can do this and board, they’ll dance again.
