Anybody on this board believe this?

No. I don't get mad about things that I can't control.

Ok, you must be a bigger man than me then. However, my anger watching the games this year as turned into, "I hope they lose so ferentz gets fired." Terrible outlook, but that's the only way this gets turned around.

Ghost, that was my point as well. Greg Behrendt said it best "Some people just need to be that way, but when you are around them, it is your job to leave."

No offense FreedComanche but we have to agree to disagree on this issue. You know when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Ok, yeah I still don't know what that means.

LOL........it's ok if you disagree with me. Good grief.

lets see: KF system resulted in 4 top 10 finishes sinsce 2002, with 2 11 win seasons, 2 10 win seasons, 1 9 win season, 1 8 win season, 1 7 win seasons, 2 , 6 win season and 1 4 win season, he produced a winning record in bowl games going 6-4 including 2 BCS games going 1-1.
3-1 against SEC teams Florida 1-1, South Carolina 1-0 and LSU 1-0,
AND SOME OF YOU ACT LIKE THIS IS THE 60-70'S type losing..
his system is based on having a Strong OL and a Strong DL

Only two losing seasons since he got this turned around ain't bad. But you miss the point about what's going on currently with this program.

I do believe KF gets too many free passes on some issues that never get clarified (Completely agree with you 100%). I do know a lot about concussions and I would hope that KF gave AR a lot of room. I have athletes in my family who have suffered bad concussion and I know quite well the impact and it does impact impulse control. (I hope that atheletes in the future don't have to suffer as many athletes past and present have for others entertainment/financial benefit, but as sick as it is "that's football", even though so many other sports are just as bad with concussions as football, not sure if that risk is ever going away without hurting the sport, by that meaning money/income for others.)

I am also disappointed in general (not in your post), that few have called KF out on KF sending running rbs into angry lines and then wondering why Iowa goes thru rb's like crazy. He also was never called out on what Stanzi did to AR on that particular play against OSU. Someone was not trained properly. What happened is something that you just don't see other teams do. The offense is pathetically run. However, we all have lives and will move on... although the football team likely won't. (Your whole paragraph makes complete sense. I don't get running up the middle with a guy that gets blown over by the wind and KF and GD/was KOK let them get destroyed over and over against guys twice their size and the box is always stacked. Especially that game, Coker was having a great game by averaging over 7 yards a carry at the time, then again it could have happened to Coker just as well.)

No one freaked out. At the same time, you were giving him way to much of a pass on things you did not know about yourself. (I personally don't give him a pass, I want him out but I personally can't do anything about it. But people like FreedComanche who call others names to prove his point, is pointless and helps no one. If you don't think calling people names and going on rant, after rant after rant like FreedComanche does, then I would hate to know what you call freaking out. I like his passion, just needs to learn how to make it a positive in this negative situation.)I am much more concerned about the lack of off field integrity to the program than the on the field situation. And actually I did make comments on another board about Bob S. I do think KF is hurting his recruiting efforts by having one qb take all snaps this year. (Completely agree, KF comment in the press conference that it won't affect next season, wow apparently we have a stud in the waiting like Brad Banks of '02, seriously it about floored me. Good thing I was already sitting.) Wienke not playing is a part of life. How the back ups feel is not a major concern of mine directly. I am concerned about the impact on recruiting of playing 1 struggling qb all season.
(Again I agree, then again when has Iowa had luck in recruiting good QB's, JC was the highest rated QB recruit and he was the biggest bust ever in my opinion. Hell it was like Michael Jordan's draft picks as a GM in the NBA). Also, a player knocking out several qb's in a season on hits to the head are under the control of the coach. Encouraged it? Doubt it. Stopped it? No. (Great point, I agree, he definitely didn't bench him for those bad hits but maybe he warned him we really don't know.)

I like your passion, just don't agree on how you show it. But like I said before it is a free world, do as you please my man! Stay strong in your beliefs and hopefully Ferentz proves us wrong but if not, hopefully he leaves before 2020!

Ok, you must be a bigger man than me then.

Well, I am, but that was never in doubt, and is WAY besides the point.

However, my anger watching the games this year as turned into, "I hope they lose so ferentz gets fired." Terrible outlook, but that's the only way this gets turned around.

And my reaction to watching these games was laughing at the people getting so angry at the games.

Gee, my gaining respect of your manliness has me in awe. You seem to be so much more advanced that the common man that you don't even show emotion at football games. We should all aspire to be more like you.

While I am super manly, it has nothing to do with my emotional detachment. I can only remember getting really emotional about two things in the past year.

I'm like a mixture of Kirk's studliness with Spock's cool detachment.

"COACH FERENTZ: What I'm married to is what's going to work, to give us the best chance to win. That's what I'm married to."

I am serious. Does anyone believe this?

You must be on Lithium then.

Yes, I believe it and I think he believes it too. BUT changing your ways isn't always easy and as fans I don't think we see some of the changes he makes, AND, I dont always think we give him credit for changes he makes. Is the guy perfect, absolutely not but he has made changes, just not all to our liking.

Hate to do this to you bud, but I'm gonna ruin ya after that pathetic response devoid of any logic. You know what? After considering everything, I'll just let that stand. Too tired to try and educate the feeble minded right now. :)
