Anybody been to the Devaney Center? Need some input

Decided to hoof the 5 hour drive from Durant and see Iowa play @ Nebby on Thursday with my son.

Decent tix (mid court, upper level), etc.

Anyone been there? Any parking suggestions? Good places to eat after? Anything else?

Thanks in advance/sdk

Keep track of the possible change from Wed. night to Saturday game time. Take your son to Valentino's Pizza...some of the best!

Could be a problem with ESPN getting the truck and crew into Lincoln for the game. Not sure where the truck is coming from, but apparently it is busy on Wednesday. And while some of the crew is local, about half are not, with some of them needing to fly in on Thursday.

I've seen the predicted inches of snow drop from 20" to now 5" and the % chance of snow drop from 125% to 100% (yuck yuck....a stat only Spank could love). I think we're at least going to try the trip. Go Hawks! (And thanks for the info on the pizza joint)

Doclee, I usually forget about mentioning Valentino's as we have it catered so often we get a bit tired of it. The sauce is a bit sweet for my taste, but I know many who swear it to be the best around. They do offer a huge buffet, which was good when we had three growing boys around the house. And they still want to go there when ever they come home.

Seth, I hope all works out for you and you have a safe trip to cheer on a Hawkeye victory.

I wouldn't tell anyone to go to Val's. They will probably sell it at the Devaney during the game if you want a slice or two. I would certainly check out the Haymarket or the restaraunts around O Street for a place to eat after. Lazlo's has great reviews, Misty's is always popular, and I used to love Vincenzo's myself. Like it was mentioned earlier, you will have to drive from the Devaney to the Haymarket, its a pretty decent haul, especially in that weather.

I'm assuming tickets will be easy to get. Be careful on your drive, and I hope anyone who comes has a great time (hoping for a Husker win, however :p).
