Any Problems with Gopher Fans at Game

I went to the game with 4 of my gopher friends. We had a good time with all the people around us including a lot of ribbing back and forth. My friends all had a good time at the game and it was a great game to be at with all the offense and the atmosphere

Ran into a couple blatantly racist iowans though unfortunately. Crusty old farts exist everywhere obviously so we just laughed it off

A group of Minnesota college age kids were what I call "Agitators"…their only goal was to irritate Iowa fans around them with curse words, "We Hate Iowa" chants and spitting…it was mean spirited.

Luckily a BRILLIANT Hawkeye fan (wink wink) sighted them assuming alcohol…which we all know is a no no in Historic Kinnick stadium, and alerted security. Two SNOTTY Minnesota girls were escorted out to Hawkeye jail! What a WIN that was for our side. HAHHAHAHA

This happened in front of me. Was petty of the Iowa fan. Yes, the Minny girls were being annoying, but it was not that big of deal. There were a few Iowa fans that were quite embarrassing during that ordeal.

No Way was that behavior of the 2 Minnesota girls acceptable…I guess I have higher standards!

And the one that was the worst did not even get kicked out, because she was not in her seat when the cops came. There were plenty of over served Hawkeye fans acting just as rude. It went both ways during that ordeal.

I quess it's all a matter of opinion. Anyway I did enjoy the game after she shut her big mouth and I love our Hawkeyes!

I too experienced rude and obnoxious behavior from Gopher fans in the north end zone, the two women escorted from the stadium were intoxicated and not respectful of Kinnick's rules of no alcohol allowed in the stadium. Other adult gopher fans called us names and were not respectful of my safe place . I have been to many home and away games and have not experienced fans that agitated the home team fans for the entire game regardless of which team was scoring . Let's hope the Purdue fans behave better .

Ha! This is funny. Anybody look around and see all the bottles of liquor strewn in the rows of Kinnick after a game? Gopher fans can be obnoxious for sure but not all of them. I've gone to a couple games in TCF Banks and there were some great fans and some ****** ones. I can honestly say that I've probably encounterd more obnoxious Iowa fans in Kinnick than the visiting fans...except this one time a couple of Wisconsin fans were sitting near us...uff da!

The biggest I had w/Gopher fans was that there were too many....;)...there were a few where I tailgated, and a few where I sat, but they weren't obnoxious, we actually met some good friends of Sam Stoll, Iowa's heavyweight, real nice people, came down from Kasson, MN to watch him

The Hawkeye fans sitting directly behind her went to the concession stand no less than 5 times, came back with soda and emptied airplane bottles of booze in to them. She did not turn them in.

Most of them in my section stayed in their gopher holes. They would pop their heads up once in awhile and then Iowa would make a big play and they'd go back down to their sleepy little den.

I live very near Kasson..there are good people here.
Twin Cities is where the issues lie, I don't go near there unless I have to for a plethora of reasons.
