Problem with that is CJB DID take all first-team snaps AND started at Purdue. He didn't exactly launch a Heisman campaign.
But the BIGGER problem is that, if we (as our HC says) have two "perfectly capable" QBs, WHY is one of them NOT being used in a way that either gives the other a breather and chance to "see" the flow of the game as an observer OR throws off the opponent defenses just a tad?
But a bigger problem is this: Yes, KF is head coach, but I seriously doubt he micro-manages the offense. Play-calling/scheme against MD was atrocious. And if the OC or other offensive coaches can't or won't approach the head coach on this, it isn't the "bigger" problem, it's the BIGGEST problem. Either the head coach is too hands-off...or he's too hands-on (with respect to QB, etc.). He can't be both, though. Thus, the coordinators and position coaches need to jump in.
I'm not saying pull Jake entirely, or stay with one QB, or whatever. I'm saying get a new OC and/or offense position coaches.
Heisman...no. Victory yes, as well as the comeback victory at Pitt.
