Another season over

Iowa is headed in the right direction at this point...but damn...that was impressive.

They might be headed in the right direction but you havent said how far they have to make up, like miles and miles.

Actually it is amazing what a few play makers can do. 2002 saw the nexus of Banks, Clark, Russell Gallery and others on a great offense and a great defense.

Wadley was pretty much wasted this year. That is why it is hard for really skilled offensive players to come to Iowa.

If Stanley had a couple of play maker receivers and add a great year from the Oline and Young and IKM with what we know we have with the TEs then next years offense could be a decent step up. Got to let them play.

I think that one flew past most of the younger folks here.
I was shocked that many people actually know who Donna Reed is. That just goes to show just how much appeal she had...that was a fine woman with a smokin' hot wholesome quality. :) I grew up hoping George would drown in the pool, or Mr. Gower would slip him some saltpeter to ensure wood never happened.

It was a perfect comeback. Dated a half century or more, but a perfect comeback.

Fear not you have the offseason to watch Kinnick cam and see what the boys and girls are doing moving dirt and constructing stuff.

I can respect all opinions but when the KFHP keeps hijacking every single thread it gets very old. I don't care if you're talking about racing pop cycle sticks in a crick it always comes down to KF BLAH BLAH BLAH! sheeesh enough already.

The playoffs are done, we know who's #1 and the rest of college football world goes back to their life (kick the door shut on that old jalopy)

Why can't we be Sam Wainwright (Alabama)

Sam Wainwright is Georgia. Alabama is Henry F Potter.

Dude, YOU were the one drooling over Daviyon Nixon. So which is it? Making strides, or not making strides? Or do you need to login under a different alt?
Yep, I think highly of one of the recruits. That means we're definitely headed in the right direction. Are you still in your AA meeting?

I actually thought it was pretty cool that she stayed somewhat grounded and showed up to the Donna Reed festival for quite a few years

I knew what ya meant and agree with you. One would be hard pressed to find a school with a better corp of TEs than us too. We are going the right direction. One major playmaking WR would make all the difference I think. For the most part we played penalty free football without turning it over much. We just have to execute and convert 3rd downs and hit some big plays more often. We aren't nearly as far away as some might think
Think what 2015 could have been if Allen Lizard weren't a shitty decision maker.

Given the troubles Davis and Kennedy had implementing their passing scheme and successfully teaching it there would be no guarantee Lazard would have developed the way he did under a completely different system.

The passing scheme implemented this year looked a lot like what Iowa had in the past under KOK. Tight ends exploited the defensive zone and used the middle of the field more effectively than they did under Davis. Receivers were using space a lot better but Stanley needs to improve accuracy beyond intermediate range and receivers need to hang onto the ball, regardless of scheme.

Dude... Don't get me started on that one... He'd have been exactly what we needed. Not to mention just this yr. He isn't the fastest receiver but he's pretty darn good and he'll have more then a cup of coffee in the NFL I bet.
