Another Nebraska player

Busted for pot.
I'd lay 2-1 odds that at this rate Nebraska will be legalizing pot in no time.
Borders Colorado and they definitely won't allow something so small as a little weed to interfere with their program.
In a world of crimes within programs like sexual abuse and assault along with covering up wife beaters, I think players being caught with a little personal use my is so far down on the list of problems.

stolen

The Nebraska football marijuana tracker has been reset. The sign on the wall now reads:

It has been
7
4
0
days since a Husker football player was busted for weed.

You've likely never seen a bill to legalize weed get fast tracked this quickly.

Even if weed is legalized i would imagine the schools would still have policies against it.

I get what your poking at, but in the long run kids just need to be more sneaky.

You're right in a sense. Players in states where pot is legal still have randoms and still have to submit to school and NCAA testing. BUT, and this is a big but, decriminalizing would mean cops couldn't bust them for it in the first place.

My employer came right out at a quarterly meeting and said weed is still a no go if gets legalized in Iowa.

Kind of a bummer because I'm not a drinker and I've heard weed gives you the mellow of your first hour of drinking without the non-fun stuff. Never tried it but if it was legal and my job allowed I'd give it a shot out of curiosity.

Insurance. Anything dealing with machinery will never allow it.

And NW Iowa cultural norms. In my town you can and do get "spoken to" about mowing your lawn on Sunday.

Which is why I mow my lawn on Sunday.

My designated lawn mowing times are Wednesday night and Sunday during Stage 2 of the NASCAR race. Where in Iowa do you live that people are that hell bent on protecting Sunday?

NW corner my friend. Orange City, Sioux Center, Hull, Sheldon, and plenty of other towns are full of First Reformers and Christian Reformers (they're the same, but different).

Basically everyone around here is Dutch with the last name of Vander De Kromen Boersma Meeteren Plaatstra De Beek.

each year I care less and less about people using weed. You can live in some states and its OK. Some will use it and abuse it others will use it and keep it in check. Like Alcohol.

I guess one has to wonder how is the environment and culture there right now if you have all of these players getting in trouble and for the same things over and over. Does Frosty have a complete grip on this team and/or are they "all in" enough to be contending for the B10 West Title?
Those items alone not counting many other reasons, have me wondering how these guys could be picked to be the team of the west this year.

My educated guess is someone in the dorm has it out for the football team and is ratting players out. It just so happens that Nebraska players tend to swing to the low-IQ side (prove me wrong) and are dumb enough to get caught.

Shakedown the Iowa, NW, Indiana, OSU, Michigan, etc. dorms and you're gonna find the same amount of weed. The difference is recruiting kids smart enough to graduate from velcro shoes and not piss off Jenny the RA or at least hide it well enough.

Weed isn't an arrestable offense in Evanston or Ann Arbor anymore. Probably IC as well. You have to have a lot of weed in Evanston to get in trouble.
