I will admit, I have seen rumors that either James or Steve is a new GA, but this would hardly be nepotism since GA's are paid very little and do little in the way of actual coaching and no decision-making. Broderick Binns has been a GA for Iowa for several years now.

You'd have to be really really really ignorant to think Binns is on the same career path trajectory as a Ferentz. Reese Morgan was also a line coach like Brian, do you think Kirk saw them as equals? Do you think becuz Parker is a coordinator he has the same shot at HC as Brian Ferentz?

He is, and Steve literally just graduated. Add the fact that no-one on any of the major Hawkeye sites has even hinted at this let alone confirmed it, and this thread becomes laughable.

I understand some people's frustration with the program, but this is just bitching for bitching's sake. Some people are never happy unless they're complaining.

Well considering this thread is about a nepotistic hire people are bashing Ferentz for that hasn't even happened yet (and likely won't, at least not in the capacity OP believed), I'd say my point still stands.
