And clowns are blaming officiating

Here's the difference bn ISU and Iowa fans. My FB feed is pretty evenly divided bn IA/ISU. Whenever the Clowns wins, there a countless "Cyclown State" posts. There were 5 re-posted articles about the game by Iowa fans on my feed...not a single "Hawkeye State" post. That could be just bc it actually is the Hawkeye state. I don't know but I suspect it's lil bro being lil bro when it can.

Also, Campbell is pathetic. He said "that team" in his post-game comments. He refuses to say "Iowa".
I think it is hilarious that Campbell is doing ghe OSU/Michigan thing.
It works for them. It doesn't work when the opponent's name is part of your school's name. It just doesn't.

That is funny! At least the soup man might inject a little fun into this train wreck!

As crappy as we played. Not me anyway.
My dad caught me complaining about the officiating after one of my high school basketball games. He looked me in the eyes and said, "I never want to hear you complain about the officials ever again. If you and your team played better, the officiating would not have affected the outcome." I had never felt so ashamed in my life. Changed my outlook on sports and life in general.

He is trying real hard to create something that isn't there. Switch back to your one liners.
ISU wins - Mass hysteria
Iowa wins - Sigh of relief

This particular game? Probably not very many people. We would have been blaming the defense for not getting pressure on Park, or blaming Stanley for missing on all of his deep throws.

I'd have been very surprised if the lopsided pentaly count didn't get brought up.
Either way, Hawks won. Onto the the next one.

Playing devils advocate, how many of us would blame the refs if they had pulled it out?Just saying. Stay humble
Seriously? Stay humble? There was no problem with refs
today. The Hawks won fair and square. If we had lost, it would be fair and square. Not a ref issue. What the F are you talking about?

Those clown fans are crazy. Iowa is clearly the better team, and if the clowns were not getting the benefit of a lot of bogus calls Iowa would have won the game by 20+

“We lost the game — I don’t think that they necessarily won it,” Lazard said. “Like we have in the past, we shot ourselves in the foot.

According to Mr. Lazard I guess we're still1-0 and won't be getting credit for this win and last year they apparently just shot themselves in the foot.

Interesting world he lives in.

Yea, this last quote......this is the kind of quote that smacks of ISU football. Cant give any credit to the Hawks and admits ineptitude and failure as choice or fact. Id rather admit that the other team was just a little better today but we'll be alright. Not in Ames. "We suck again" sounds better? Ill be honest, i was going to be ready with at least a slight point to the penalty numbers win or lose. Seems to be a rather large discrepancy.

He's partly right. Coming back from 11 down to lead by 10, then ultimately losing, there HAS to be--in ANY game--things they can spot that might have made a difference. Except...the fact is...they DID lose. So it doesn't really matter because, in the grand scheme of things, the Hawks did NOT lose.

He's talking about often times when we lose a close basketball or football game, the refs get blamed for the loss by some on this board. C'mon let's keep it real.

Yeah, my dad said the same thing. I told him he was dead wrong and went to ISU where magic happens every day.

Honestly, the only really bad call I saw yesterday was Kirk and Brian Ferentz not going for it on 4 and 1 with momentum and a 21-10 lead and a chance to put that team away early. We go up 28-10 in the middle of the 3rd quarter...and ISU goes in the tank...that's their MO and they have way too many demons telling them the outcome when they are getting abused.

Another classless Clown. Probably projecting a little due to the poor decision to take his talents to Clown town.

Officials didn't cost ISU the game, anyone who says so is just searching for excuses... dropped passes cost ISU the game, had way too many. Iowa came out and executed their plays, ISU didn't, plain and simple. That's usually what decides the winner, and it did yesterday too. Congrats to Iowa on making the plays when needed and good luck on the season going forward.

You nailed it, if I was a ISU fan I'd be pissed about the dropped passes not the refs.
