I'm not a fan of the NBA regular season but I do watch the playoffs.
I will give the NBA credit. They have done a good job getting rid of some of the bad apples like Iverson, Bozy Wells, Marberry, & that former ISU player who was in the Det/Ind fight back in 2004.
There was an article in ESPN the magazine a while back that discussed how owners & the commish were so tired of the gangster element that they have quietly blackballed guys like Inverson even though they still can play at a professional level. Many owners simply will not sign them anymore.
Also I think this labor situation will help the NBA even if there is a lockout because the owners want to do any with the full guaranteed contracts. Take that away and maybe some of these really talented guys (Ricky Davis) will actually try to be good basketball players instead of just cashing checks.
