Or you could look at it this way (assuming a win at Nebraska): KF led a team with the least amount of returning starters in the B1G to an 8-4 record and another New Years Day bowl appearance. This team came within a couple plays of securing the 5th 10-win season in Ferentz 13 years as Iowa's coach.

But its a lot more fun to focus on the negatives and cry because the Hawks didnt meet some of our unreasonable expectations.

I agree. A win redeems the season. It actually makes those losses hard to take.

8-4 and an Outback Bowl win against an SEC team would qualify as a decent year. Doesn't mean we don't want better, either - it's just a standalone assessment of this season.
