Alternate Tigerhawk

I like when they go with just one tiger hawk and leave one side black. But maybe that is because I am a steelers fan.

We do not need Iowa rolling out in something like this.:) Hopefully, Steelers/Hawks use the momentum of their recent games and get on roll.

My intent wasn't to rip your view on the troops and I apologize if that is how you took it. I was simply saying that no attempt is a weak one when honoring the fallen no matter how small or large, it's the thought that counts in my mind..

That is how I took it. I know, I know, you feel so much better now.:)

Anything that is done to honor our fallen veterans, IS NEVER WEAK.. As a Veteran who served this great country, I can tell you that I don't find anything weak about today... Nothing!! Pretty damn Remarkable if you ask me..

Let's just clarify for all that You find this weak?!

Iowa’s helmet features tigerhawk logo on the right temple, in camafloge, today. This logo is in recognition of men and women, in all branches of the military around the world, who are serving, or have served, their country. The right side of the helmet will, as usual, include the ANF (America Needs Farmers) logo above the tigerhawk.
The left side of the helmet does not include the tigerhawk logo and was left black, in honor of all men and women of all branches of the military who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Whoever down voted this post is weak.

Predator, we don't always agree, but sir, you are spot on here. Thank you for your service.

Alright ladies, simmer down a bit.....it's only a logo....We have worse problems to discuss, like who in the hell impersonated the good old Captain yesterday....He looked like KF, but still not sure....;)

It was the Hoodie. I told you all that!!!

I'm in the minority here but I prefer subtle changes over dumb looking uniforms.

I'm with you. The Hawks regular uni's are kind of tied to being a brand. The look is Iowa, such as with Penn St's generic white uni's & helmets. It doesn't do a team any good to come out having too stark of change. Subtle changes is the way Iowa should go.

I always wondered in this area with the economy and how some families have been suffering (past 6 yrs or so), how can teams justify using different uni's an helmets for various games throughout the year? This always crossed my mind.

And more importantly, to those of you who have served our country or continue to serve, I sincerely THANK YOU. I don't believe anybody is against honoring your service, actually, many are thinking it could have been done better.

But overall, this is really nitpicking.

It was just a discussion that I was looking for about alternate uniforms. Not about changing the uniform or attacking patriotism. People are way too sensitive. Its funny to me that Iowa who needs all the recruiting help we can get doesn't see the benefit of alternate uniforms. I know that in the big scheme of things its not a huge deal, it was just a discussion.

I agree. I realized what your motive was with the post.
