I'm surprised Steve Alford and Scott Skiles aren't on the list. They both started four years and were big time scorers.

If Recker had a combined 1880 pints between Iowa and Indiana he must have really lived it up.

I looked up Recker. As a frosh at Indiana he scored 408 (12.8 ppg), 546 (16.1 ppg) as a sophomore and, if you remember he transferred to Arizona to play for Lute (didn't get along with Bobby) and was in the car accident where his girlfriend was paralyzed and transferred to Iowa. As a junior at Iowa he scored 326 (18.1 ppg) points in only 18 games then as a senior 600 (17.1 ppg) points.

They should be on the list, because they are both over 2000 point scorers. So, this list is apparently incomplete.

huh, I got my info from sports reference as well and didn't even think about it not being comprehensive. I just looked and it says since 1985-86, what was that, the start of 3 pointers? I'll have to go look and see if I can get a comprehensive list.

I checked Rick Mount and he had 2323 points in 3 years. There must be more.

Us old goats gotta wonder where former Hawks like the great "downtown Freddie Brown, John Johnson" and others from the good old days would stand on that list if there had been a 3 point shot back then. Those teams regularly scored 90-100= pts WITHOUT the "3"!

And add in a shot clock.

I think it's fair to say "modern" teams play more games per season than previous decades. And obviously, if your team makes a post-season tournament, your # of games increases.

Helps with the total point scored--right?
