Yeah, and I think he missed most of the season, didn't play again until the Purdue game late in the season. We may have had a better record that year if he had not been hurt.

I think CJ was actually Brad Banks' cousin. May be wrong but that is what my memory is saying.Mo Brown is my all time favorite receiver under Ferentz. Man he was good, but I kind of recall he had an injury his senior year, missed some games. If only he had 4 years at Iowa and not just 2. I think CJ Jones was his cousin?

weren't all 3 related, cousins? They all came to Iowa from Florida I believe.

Did Brown get into a little trouble in 2001 that kept him in the doghouse? He played very little that season.

not sure about the dog house thing, but he did hurt his leg vs ISU.

Bret Bielema had a nice Florida connection in 1999 and 2000 which came to fruition long after Bret left, from 2002-2004.

I don't know about the doghouse but he did have Kahlil Hill and the immortal Tim Dodge playing ahead of him. CJ also had a decent year and I seem to remember Jeremy Allen being a nice receiving threat out of the backfield. Dallas Clark, of course, was the top right end.
