all aaron craft does is hack

I don't know what you guys are smoking... this game was not called closer.

45 fouls called in the Wisconsin game 40 in this one... and OSU fouled about 5-6 times in the last 1:30 min 30 seconds of the game.

I must have watched a diff game then the rest of you... ya they called the occasional grab or hand check but OSU went on an absolute rape fest for about 5 min... of reaching and grabbing when they went up by 9.

I'm not even saying the officials were bad... im just lolling at the perception that this game was called closer.

No it wasn't

They did call a tighter game after the blatant physical fouls could no longer be ignored, esp on national viewing. I will give credit to Fran and team for playing through it though even with the disparity early on. I think refs gave IA some loving after Oglesby and others kept hitting 3s to keep IA in the game and IA was getting some calls their way finally.

It's not how many fouls were called its if there is a huge disparity between the teams and number of FT attempted. Against Wisconsin we would get the ball down low and hacked or bodied big time with no call. Then they would come down ram a shoulder in our bigs chest and get to shoot ft. This game was better called. It's B1G bball the home team is going to get calls these refs were definitely less biased by the crowd than ISU and Wisconsin. If the Wiso game was at Iowa we win it going away. When we play MSU at MSU I guarantee Iowa will be getting manhandled and you will be praying for the refs that called the OSU game.

I thought the game plan was excellent in that we must have ran Craft through 100 screens. It wore him down and you could see it. He hacked his way through the game like he always does but he was noticeably slower in the 2nd half. IMO.

Yes, this. Iowa bounced him off post guys a lot and that was a great plan. Need to do again on the return match.

this may be so... but called it "Closer" and your explanation are not exactly the same.

I just watched the 2nd half again... We went up for a lot of contested finishes with no call... it wasn't as bad as Wisconsin or ISU but hard for me to say it was exactly much different.

We got a lot of random calls elsewhere... but we have been getting those mostly.

The big thing is around the basket we get no calls... how many and 1 opportunities did we get to today?

I don't remember 1... I remember at least 3 for OSU

not really convinced this game was called any differently.
