but he gets away with it...

lot of all American potential probably posting on this board then if he is an all American candidate.

I thought the hand check was no longer allowed. They could have literally called 100 fouls on him.

He can hack on till infinity. He's heading home with the L today.

We can worry about it again when they come to Carver. But, for now, I don't care.

No, all he has to do is walk down the street and sulk in Columbus!

I agree though, that foul on Marble when Craft hacked him up and down toward the end of the game was bad, real bad. Hawks played thru that though.

Craft is more than capable of playing clean defense and still be great. He did it in the non-conference when the rules were much more strictly enforced. But he also knows he can get away with fouling all the time, because 1) his reputation give him the benefit of the doubt and 2) he knows officials aren't going to blow the whistle on every play. Fouling, when you know you can get away with it, is far more effective than playing the best clean defense of all time.

He's a great defender who does what he knows he can get away with consistently. Today's officials called a tighter game, especially in the second half.

called a tighter game? uhhh in the first half neither team was in the bonus... and all those fouls in the 2nd half didn't start occurring until about 5 min left in the game.

Not sure how you could have watched that game and said it was called tighter... it had stretches of the least amount of fouls called with the most amount of reaching and hand checking that I've seen all year.

They called a tighter second half. We got lots of calls in our favor that I never would've expected to get while on the road against a top team.

I thought the game plan was excellent in that we must have ran Craft through 100 screens. It wore him down and you could see it. He hacked his way through the game like he always does but he was noticeably slower in the 2nd half. IMO.

This is correct. They called a few little hand checks and such at the beginning of the second that basically told OSU they couldn't play their dirty defense. Craft still did at times, but over all called tighter than other games early in the B1G so far.

That guy is a hack, 20 fouls minimum today.
I cant see that he is a first team all american player. 6 points today, fouled out. Not sure how many assists he had. Constantly passing up shots. Pops the occasional 3 but otherwise his game is limited. Just because he hustles and plays D...(Hacks, hand checking, body up) does not make him an all american. His hustle is the only reason he isnt a nice mid major player and a diversion from his real game.

If we had the refs we had today at Wis or Isu we win. The play that I thought interesting was toward the end whe Dev curled around a screen an Craft just grabs him around the waist, they actually called the foul and Craft was whining about not touching him. Craft is definitely used to getting his way at home, and although they should have called him for abou 20 other reach in fouls at least the officials didn't totally buy into his hype.
