Son of former Iowa player, Epenesa Epenesa is a high school junior and is listed as the #1 DE nationwide for this position and incoming class.
He said on his Twitter account that he will be at the Pitt game.
We have sent lots of DE talent to the NFL.

He would be a huge get obviously. Let's make Kinnick a great atmosphere saturday night. There should be a whole lot of recruits coming this weekend

The interview of him that I believe was posted somewhere on this site a couple weeks ago sure shows that he is a born and raised black and gold bleeding hawk! I guess he is ours to lose. He sure appreciates how this staff approaches him..respects him. Just keep doing what we are doing and win a few games and he should be ours.

I believe his is class on 2017 so he would be a JR this year.
 




Tyler cook will be there too what are the odds Fran lands him? Seems like Missouri seems to be his favorite! Big weekend!

And I love what his dad posted on Facebook last year to reporters requesting interviews:

"Patrick thank you for the message. Like I told most of the media local & outside I am not a fan of interviews especially my son. I would love for his process to be low key & let him enjoy the moment of being a kid. He hasn't play a down for his sophomore year yet... It's crazy as it is right now I am trying to calm it in a respectful way for him to enjoy his young life. I hope you understand sir and when that time comes He's all yours... Respectfully, Epenesa."

Actually sounds like Missouri is out. Heard that on one of the podcasts this week, can't remember which. They had just talked to his mom and she said as much. Now he's gone dark, no contact with media here on out.

Good of good I had just read before I posted on 247 that Missouri looked to be favorite must of been outdated post! Big big weekend then! Top talent seems to like playing with top talent hope more follow if we land both In future! Go Hawks! Nice work!
