. Please show me or tell me where this play is that Croston and Myers were 'fooled' and neither 'literally' didn't block anyone and CJ got smashed? Are you talking about the play at about the 13:50 mark in the 3rd quarter? Where Iowa is in 'zone' pass protection and Myers blocks the DT, but the DE loops to the inside where Legrand and ESPECIALLY Daniels lets him run right by them and 'smash' CJ. Because that play has NOTHING to do with either Croston or Myer doing anything 'wrong'. Or is there another play that I missed?
. They didn't run to the 'weakside'....lol. And NONE of their big gains had anything to do with Bower. He needs to handle cut blocks better, but he was never out of 'position' Now Jewell on the other hand...(See my thread on chasing ghost)...and Taylor had big problems. I already talked about Jewell, but Taylor had a really bad game and was 'bad' in every big gain run or 'pass' that NDSU had (except the last QB draw). The first big play they had, they delayed the TE, and Taylor 'lost' him (he was his responsibility). They did it again later in the game. They delayed the TE while Taylor was supposed to be in 'man' on him and Taylor managed to lose him. King and Snyder chew his but about it after the play as you can see in the replay. On the first long run, where JEWELL is 'chasing ghosts' and vacates his 'hole', Taylor doesn't attack the LOS like the SS is supposed to and gets absolutedly trucked by a little slot receiver, with Snyder saving a TD. Then on the next long run, Taylor is slow coming up and completely whiffs on the tackle allowing the breakaway. I would love to watch tape with some of you, because I have NO idea what you are looking at? Snyder saved several TD's (he didn't play a 'great' game but certainly wasn't responsible for their big plays), but you guys blame Snyder when it was Taylor who played really poorly. Give me specifics and prove me wrong.............
