Should ask if they need to use w/ a phone and therefore require an inline mic. If you are talking audio only then I can recommend Skull Candy Ink'd series. Super efficient and wide bandwidth. I use third party foam earpieces with those. Can mow my lawn w/ player volume @ about 30% and not hear the mower. If you need a mic then the Sennheiser CX series are good.

I've got a pair of LG Tone Pro. They are bluetooth and connect to pretty much any phone easily. And I can listen to music or the iHeart Radio app all day at work on a single charge.
