Former Spartan big man gunned down in Orlando at age 31. Seems like about ten minutes ago he and Melsahn Basabe were battling each other inside.

Like many of Izzo's bigs he straddled the line between physical and chippy. Once came up the court with Zach McCabe in a headlock. Had a questionable reputation off the court as well but was never formally charged. Bounced around the NBA for four or five years but never developed the outside game required to survive in the league and ended up playing overseas. Covid stagnated his career, was looking to get it geared up again.

31 is too young to go. Give your loved ones an extra tonight.

Yeah I was shocked to hear about this. Agree with you 100% on how he toed the line, but I was always a fan of his and have always despised MSU. Maybe it was the publicity behind his relationship with Lacey Holsworth that caused me to look past a lot of the negative, but either way 31 is way too young to die.
