I heard this comment on the post game show as well... I was shocked.
Especially since they were talking about points in the paint and Basabe is Fran's recruit. Perhaps Crean was not aware of this.

Exactly. I don't see how in the world we win this game today if Lick is still our coach. We wouldn't have Cartwright or Basabe.. Even if we DID have them, I am not convinced Lick could be getting the same out of the team as Fran is.

Fran > Lick, and not even close. I'm sold.

It is fairly obvious that all the opposing coaches wish Lick was still the coach. Without Basabe & Cartwright (with Brust at point guard) this would have been a 20+ victory for Indiana.
