I've seen pictures and I would not say he is too thin to play in the big 10. Getting to IC early will most definitely help get him accustomed to the game early and allow him to play in the PTL!
Both Gatens and Basabe weren't overly strong their freshman years either. If he sticks to putting in the work he can be a good player.
Just my opinon, but I thought that Matt was one of the physically more mature players Iowa has had as a frosh..
What I do love about the picture in this article is how confidently Aaron is driving to his left, handling with his left hand..from the clips I have viewed he handles very well with either hand, something that some of our players still do not do well...in fact, I would say that Marble might actually be the best at it...but Cully,Matt,Eric, and even Bryce do not handle that well with their off hands...last guy that really could was Jake Kelly.
We have several guys that need to work on going to their non-dominate side. Especially Eric May.
If that guy can develop a strong left handed move, and get his outside shot back, then look out! He has the skill set to be an incredible player.
Can he develop the left??? Let's put his right arm in a sling for 30 minutes a day. That'll learn him.
Aaron White, Roy Marble and Darius Stokes should room together from June to September. Give these guys two-a-days in Doyle's Dungeon and they will have the chance for some important playing time come November. Believe it.
