Aaron White to enroll in June

This is the type of player Fran will be recruiting moving forward. I am not referencing his size and all that, his mind set is what I am referring too. This is a hungry kid that is not afraid of competition and the more kids Iowa gets like this the better. White is going to play hard every game and leave his effort on the floor, good and bad results. Then he will work harder for the next game.

Honest question here, do Iowa's recruits not enroll early usually? I can't remember the last ISU kid that wasn't on campus in June.

I honestly don't know. This is the first time I've ever seen a big deal made of it. But I'm sure Gatens probably did, or was at least granted access to the facilities.

I know Marble and Basabe were on campus all last summer. I believe McCabe was as well. It's pretty much SOP for incoming freshmen recruits.

Good point. I like White's attitude. He gets that we aren't very good, but wants to be part of something and likes McCaffrey. Granted, the kid hasn't scored a point yet, but at least on paper he seems to be more of a European style player that can shoot, drive and play with his back to the basket. Put a kid like that in McCaffrey's system and he will get lots of open looks in transition.
