Aaron White still stuck trying to fly back.

Dave. Go back to sleep please. Thanks.

How can your response above be taken seriously? If you think being late because your plane was delayed would get you in your coach's dog house, then you are one of the most clueless people alive and we should all disregard any future posts from you due to your lack of understanding of how things actually work.

Lay off, guys, geez. It was just an idea. And I was saying that the poster shouldn't be crucified for asking a question. I'm sure you've never asked a dumb question, have you?

my point stands, tho, since Fran is a bear on discipline and has sat players for much less.

Isn't there a story about him sleeping in a lockerroom too?

Iowa’s Aaron White moves from locked out to leader | TheGazette

Aaron White found himself locked in Carver-Hawkeye Arena and left Josh Oglesby without a roommate for the night.

White, an incoming Iowa sophomore, started working out at Iowa’s new practice facility after 10 p.m. one night last summer. When he tried to re-enter Iowa’s locker room, his access was denied by the locks that use hand geometry.

“My phone had died. It was raining outside,†White said. “I knew how to get into the opposing locker room and kind of spent the night.

“The cleaning people working in the morning woke me up and said they were worried about me because they saw my stuff in the locker room. Good story to start off my career here.â€

Oglesby, who roomed with White last year, called it “one of the funniest stories I’ve heard actually.†Their coach, Fran McCaffery, said the story speaks to White’s dedication to improvement.

Man I hope he didn't lose any playing time or get any punishment for this. Since he might have missed a curfew or something.

First the locker room thing, now getting snowed into an airport, what will happen next?

I just read a tweet that said something to the effect he's been thrown off the team for what are being called "unidentified" reasons. Wow. Fran takes this stuff seriously. Can you imagine what it must be like to be one of Fran's real kids?

Maybe if Oglesby practiced that hard, he could hit a few jumpers. Why did Fran waste a scholly on a dud who just wants to sit at home and sleep in bed?

My main concern is getting White back to I.C. Since Hawk fans tailgating busses are not being used this December or January, maybe someone can head to Ohio and pick him up.

Fran has sat players for much less than a flight being delayed or cancelled? Really?

Not here, but definitely at Siena. He'd sit players for wearing hoodies during press conferences and having a bad public appearance. Even if White didn't miss a practice, Fran's not a big Twitter fan so who knows. I don't think there would ever be a Mike Leach style revolt against him, though. He seems more like a Bob Knight disciple though, tough on his players but they appreciate it.
