Aaron White = Poor Man's Larry Bird?

If AW was black there is no way you would call him a poor man's Larry Bird because it would come off as extremely racist to call a black guy poor.

How dense are you people??!!

Bird was known for his shooting. What is White's biggest weakness?......his shooting.

one of the worst comparisons I have ever seen.

Pretty sure you can't freaking read...the OP says, "the comparison to shooting is an incredible stretch"...let me break this down for you. Comparison means "to measure against" and shooting means "to hurl, throw, or fire" and incredible stretch means "hey dumbarse, I'm not saying he compares to Bird's shooting ability at all and all I was trying to suggest is that White's game has rounded out a bit to include passing and making his teammates better."

Very true, I always try to give these people another chance, and they always let me down.

Your post was moronic. If you were trying to be funny or pithy, you should have phrased it more clearly.

It would be like me simply writing "nobody goes to Cleveland on vacation"...and then expecting you to know (for some reason) that I a) actually disagreed with the quote, and b) accusing you of knowing nothing about basketball because you didn't explicitly state that you knew Joachim Noah said it.

You didn't right good. Try harder next thyme.

Jokes are more funny when you don't spell them out for everyone.

Unfortunately some people on this board don't have the intelligence to get them unless it's spelled out letter by letter. It's sad.

I didn't get it either but it would have been funny if I had. After someone filled me in it was kinda funny but not as funny if I would have understood in the first place.

Just alittle something to refresh those on Bird... The guy is a living legend. White as good as he is as a college player just doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgPpTvX86n8

I saw him break Oscar Robertson's record at Vets against Drake. He scored 53 points mostly threes.....

Not comparing Aaron to Larry who is one of the top five players ever to play the game of basketball, but aspects of Aaron's game remind me of Larry Bird in college. I saw him three times at Vets. Aaron's basketball savvy reminds me of Larry sometimes and Aaron's inside game is very clever and also reminds me of Bird, however there is only one Larry Bird, one of the very best passers in basketball and so much smarter than he looked. He would get into the opponents head with ease and humiliating success. Read an article in the NYT's Sunday Magazine about the best trash talkers in the NBA. All the players said, Larry Bird. He would have the ball beyond three point territory, tell the person guarding him that he was gong to hit a three and there was nothing he could do to stop him. He would nail the three, infuriating the poor chump assigned to stop him. I never noticed that watching him play.....

There is a place in the NBA for Aaron, his rebounding, court savvy and deceptive speed in addition to being around the ball at all times would help a lot of teams.....

Just a humble observation that probably will invite serious criticism.....

Yeah right now some mocks have White at the 50th pick overall. Probably gets draft, but its all about the team he lands on and the work he puts in to decide if he can make a team in year one.

Even if White could pass as great as Bird could, I feel like a lot of those deceptive passes would just go right through some of Hawks guards hands.
