A monster is coming..........

Completely agree about Moss. He's our most talented perimeter player. If we're thinking about Iowa veterans who are going to come back better than last year... an improved Moss would massively elevate this team. His balanced scoring and smoothness with the ball reminds me of Marble from a couple years ago.

I'm hoping that the depth of this team will allow for more aggressive play. I remember when Iowa was looking for a new coach after Lickliter, it seemed like the biggest criteria was tempo and offensive style. We wanted to play fast paced basketball after seeing such a boring style for those Lickliter years. But recently, I honestly don't think Iowa has been that fast paced of a team and I'd like to see them run more. More depth, athletes, and strong rebounders will help

Cause I didn't "dis" on Jok? What I said, his defense and his turnover rate, were commonly discussed flaws in his game. Also of note, I never said you couldn't critique players or coaches. Go right ahead. I'm of the opinion Jok isn't that missed this season...

The whole spelling thing is laughable as we could ALL go through here and play grammar police... the fact is we're writing on a message board not drafting an amendment to the constitution.

But just as it's typically a sign of someone who's uneducated that has spelling issues or has bad grammar
- people that point it out are typically horrible people in general. Next you'll tell me how much money you make or dog on my girl. They're the same type of guy.
Your mama is so fat...

I dunno if the hype machine could get much higher than it is for both Cook and this team.

Actually, I think that all the hype is coming from Iowa fans. The national media seems to think very little of Iowa as a team or as individual players. We are flying so far under the radar that we are scraping the ground. I am under the impression that we Iowa fans are right and everyone else is wrong, but time will tell. Can't wait to get this thing going.

Very true I've only been reading Iowa friendly media prior to very recently with media days starting. I'd just about bet the farm Iowa will finish higher then 8th like what I've seen predicted. JBo Moss and Cook might all have to be hurt most of season for something like that to happen. To predict that is just lazy journalism.

That might work in our favor. Other teams just might make the mistake of underestimating the Hawks. That would be a huge mistake......

I prefer the team to be underrated, flying below the radar. The opponents should beware of taking the Hawks lightly. This is a team of destiny and Will just make it to the second weekend of The Dance this season. The following seasons look quite promising.....

Ever the optimist.....

When you look at where we are now compared to the solar eclipse Lickliter years, it’s really amazing.
The Lickliter years were to Iowa Basketball what the Bob Commings / Frank Lauterbur years were to Iowa football. Nice guys, one and all but seriously, BLECH!

No, but I'm a published author with dyslexia and a good editor. I spell fawnetically and my grammer died years ago.

I do have a Masters from an SEC school, but didn't play football...they let me in anyway.

Remember, Lads.....

Roll and Role are both spelled correctly. The difference is in the context.....

I type so fast sometimes that I am glad that I use Grammarly on Chrome. It catches everything and it is very easy to correct. Just hover over the underlined word and the correct usage or spelling will pop up. Just click on it, and move on. It also catches double spacing, usage of commas and so on.....

It does become irritating sometimes. Attempts to mess with my five dots.....

We have the best post feeder in the conference. I really do believe that.

Jordan's passing has been highly underrated. I remember very early last season, just before halftime. We had time for a quick shot. Tyler broke underneath the basket, and Jordan from beyond the three line, fired a pass through traffic, threading a needle, directly to Cook for a slam.....

At that point I knew that JBo was the goods.....

I was pumped for Iowa basketball even before I read this. Wow. Tyler and JB could be lethal this year. Excited to see how much Kreiner has improved. How Cordell looks healthy. Nunge. Gonna be a fun year!

Crazy thought. What about letting Moss run the 2nd team? And I'm not saying put him on 2nd team only. Obviously Moss and Bohannon will share the court when it matters.

Iowa's best teams have a guy at point who can break the defense in one way or the other. I like Williams but he is what he is. Unless he has taken a giant leap this offseason, this isn't him.

Let Moss run the point on the 2nd team for around 7 minutes a game and give the other team another thing to think about and not let them take more time off of defense.

Cook will turn out to be Frans greatest recruit. This kid played HS and AAU ball with Tatum. And was always second fiddle. Had he been on a different team, he would be at Duke or Kentucky or Kansas.

Cook is The Man.

Cook will have a great year, and hopefully, the whole Iowa basketball team will be considered a monster this year.

His outside shooting ability actually helps passing angles. When his man has to stay closer to him because of the deep shot threat, that's one less guy to clog the lane.
