A monster is coming..........

I do think that Iowa's terrible defense in general lead to less rebounds and overall bad positioning. I think if that can somehow get cleaned up the rebounds will be fine. However, Fran's biggest issue has been getting his teams to play defense.

Why is it OK to criticize an former player who did well for the Hawks but it's not OK to critique the coaches? You criticize better than you spell?

Dissing Jok at this point just doesn't do much good. The bigger issue is that he was a great player on a very young team (See IL football) and was a target. That is on the coach.

Cause I didn't "dis" on Jok? What I said, his defense and his turnover rate, were commonly discussed flaws in his game. Also of note, I never said you couldn't critique players or coaches. Go right ahead. I'm of the opinion Jok isn't that missed this season...

The whole spelling thing is laughable as we could ALL go through here and play grammar police... the fact is we're writing on a message board not drafting an amendment to the constitution.

But just as it's typically a sign of someone who's uneducated that has spelling issues or has bad grammar
- people that point it out are typically horrible people in general. Next you'll tell me how much money you make or dog on my girl. They're the same type of guy.

No, but I'm a published author with dyslexia and a good editor. I spell fawnetically and my grammer died years ago.

I do have a Masters from an SEC school, but didn't play football...they let me in anyway.

If he turns into a guy that can both hit open shots and go to the hole not just effectively but consistently look out. Iowa's ability to have big guys (plural not just Cook) make plays from the block and pass out to shooters is just going to make them undefensible. I was thinking the same thing about Moss. He is the key. He has special gifts that you just can’t teach. His biggest enemy was his inconsistency.

All the building blocks for this team are in place.

I don't see anything wrong with pointing out flaws from past players in an attempt to show why the current team will be fine without them. Of course I'm the guy who went at it with Twins about why Gesell wouldn't be missed, so I might be biased.

I just was ribbing him as he doesn't like KF criticism or at least my criticism of KF, that's all. It's OK. I think we both have fun with it. I think.

Yeah it's the position he plays and the role in which Fran will want him to have. Fran loves to run and gun when you can. Moss is a really good open court player. He's just gotta get more consistent all game long and be aggressive. He's certainly got skills at both going to the hole and shooting. He's just gotta put it all together and if he does we have a heck of a scary group to put out there.

You wanna nail him for losing to Western Michigan, to South Dakota State - for not being able to stop a Fin onside, for not seeing fake punts coming? For early in his career sitting on the ball at the end of halves instead of getting aggressive? Not going for it on 4th? Throwing short of sticks? Not developing quality depth at WR over the last few seasons. Playing -a brand football that keeps games close by doing ball control, which means you can beat the kings but lose to the poor .... rhabdo? His handling of some of our better skill guys who have been pushed out of the program?

Dude, I have A LOT of issues with KF... just not a lot of what get's just kind of made up on these boards.
 


I better turn down the volume on my cochlear implant when he slams that sheet down, He might blow my speakers every time he dunks it! That's the beauty of the Hawkeyes Basketball! Let's go Hawks!

I would not be surprised if this team is The Surprise of college BB this year...

Bubbling with talent...Fran's coaching will be the key IMHO
