9-3 season still alive!!

TAKE THAT! All you media talking heads that continually pick against the Hawks. Yeah I’m talking to you Miller, Deace, Howe and Co. So tired of all of you always taking the safe picks. Grow a pair boys and start getting on the bandwagon. See you in the Holiday Bowl!
 
9-3 is very realistic now, I would even say expected.

But a big bowl may be out of reach. If I had to guess, Iowa is still headed to the Holiday Bowl.

OSU, PSU, Mich and the Wisc/Minn winner will all be ahead of Iowa in the bowl pecking order.
 
Iowa should be about 2 TD favorites against both Illinois and Nebraska so 9-3 is the most likely outcome. Regardless, we’ll get their best shot. I expect Nebraska to play their best game of the year, not sure if it will be good enough.

Nebraska's offense was real good today. They have Maryland next week. They could be trying to qualify for a bowl game against Iowa. Illinois is not a gimme. They have a week off before Iowa. Iowa can't let down.

Happy birthday! Dawgs still have chance at sec championship. Doubt they'll be there but never know. I'm also a Georgia fan as of past years in the service when internet and watching hawkeye's was not available to follow back in the ice age like today.. Hawks 1st followed by close 2nd for the Dawgs.

I too like the Dawgs having lived there for 25 yrs. I always thought of former coach Mark Richt the Kirk Ferentz of the SEC. Will be moving back down to Georgia this next spring. Living here in Minnesota, I can’t tell you how satisfying this win was. I’ve hated living here from day one. Glad these pompous asses got their just desserts. There is nothing about this state that I like. Hawkeye for life!
 
This is going to make some "fans" pretty upset. I mean they are still only 1-3 vs B1G conference teams that are .500 or better. Don't you know that is the only stat that matter.
 
Illinois and Nebraska are not going to be gimmies. Nebby offense kind of shredded UW defense today and we’ve seen what Illinois can do.

If we can take care of business those two and have a matchup with a ranked opponent in a bowl game for 10 wins.
 
Honestly I picked Illinois as the toughest game left ahead of Minnesota. They are really on a roll.

One thing that nobody really mentions with this team is the injuries. Alaric going down early and wasn’t close to 100% against Michigan in that debacle. All the injuries on the interior Oline. Smith going down. No OJ yesterday. The biggest might have been Welch missing the Wisconsin game.

I know every team has injuries but it seems we’ve had our fair share and some untimely ones.
