6/24 PTL thoughts and video from Dochterman

Did I see May going left in that video?
YES.....

He actually hit a few jump shots, midrange variety. Would be very nice to see him play injury free. His experience will help this season. There were many times he came into the game last season when we were having difficulty, and his presence settled things down. He helped bring the ball down court when we needed the help.....

Looks like he is developing moves toward the basket and scoring with both hands.....

Having him back to form will really be a boost next season.....

:)

Finally, someone agrees with me about May. I thought I was taking the ole Herby stance there for awhile.

Speaking of Herby, do we see any evidence in the PTL so far that Olaseni may break out a double double season?

I think May looks the same. He's still basically shouldering his way into the middle of the high post, the difference being that in PTL no help defense comes and he can continue to brute his defender into the lane, that isn't going to happen in the Big Ten.

Watch the video a littler closer, he looks like the same player.

This is more what I was thinking too. That isn't to say he can't give us some help off the bench when a match up would benefit him or for his defensive speed. I just don't see him making any big leap in his play.

eric may is who we know him to be...cant change him at this point...if healthy he brings us 1) defense, 2) wing rebounding, 3) ability to run the floor, 4) experience. he will be a solid back up for marble and ogelsby on the wings. but he wont be a 20 min guy that scores a lot. but we need the bodies to help the frosh come along.

That's how I see it Foval.....

She's a volleyball player for Iowa, and I would agree with this assessment.
McCabe's GF is right up there too.

Those guys know how to play the game.

Which one? Just looked at the roster and it isn't obvious by the pictures. They could use a new photographer. They look like Jr. High pictures.

Yup, he will do pretty good to start the season and tail off as the competition increases.

Hopefully he will at least get a few sweet dunks, he couldn't even do that last year with the injury.
