590 Omaha Nebby talk show

don't let your cat loose to roam around and try to kill birds and squirrels in my yard
and more importantly, don't let your cat loose to roam around and breed with other roaming cats and leave litters of feral kittens all over the goddam place

plus my dogs fkn ROCK and can run down any cat before it can climb or hide

So it is fine to kill stray cats but you are against killing rabid coons in your yard?

Most epic thread hijack ever!

We went from Nebraska feeling overconfident...to...a war between dogs and cats! Meyhem!

WOW I don't to each his own I guess...they are terribly slanted. They always say Nebraska plays this week...and oh yeah Iowa too...
Oh, teh horrah!!!! Omaha sports talk radio stations talk mostly Nebraska football, especially during football season?!?! You do realize that Omaha is in Nebraska, don't you? Maybe not.

Well, if I lived in Scottsbluff, I wouldn't be all butthurt that I got all Buffaloes or Broncos sports talk if I was tuning in to Denver stations.

The intelligent person would try Des Moines media if they want more Hawkeye related information. It is especially easy now a-day with these new fangled Interwebs and smart phones thingies that we now have.

Nebraska didn't even get the Dan Persa we have seen for the last couple of years. If he had been 100% the game wouldn't have been close. And if NW had a defense they would have been contenders throughout the Dan Persa era. As it is they ended up being spoilers.
Yep, and if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. Kolter seemed to be a pretty decent replacement.

This is the B10 not the B12 North...teams on the bottom don't roll over and play dead. They are not impressed by your little trophy room in Lincoln.
Lulz. Right, because upsets don't happen in every league, every weekend (see OU/T Tech, etc.....)

I hate to break it to you, but the B1G isn't all that. I know that y'all think it is, but it's not.

Two of the three dead catz were feral and who knows if they had rabies.
My bogle Oscar PWN3D them.
Raccoons are native species, but they also know better to f around in my yard.

Calling you out on this one pal. I happen to know that cats don't have a cerumbellium on their nerval system therefore they cannot feel pain. In fact they can't feel anything outside of selfishness.
They are barely animals and downright creepy. Our big boy in the pic below is very likely looking at a cat for this pose. One bite baby..one bite.

I've found the kindest solution to a cat-killing dog is a bullet to the brain. That way they feel less pain than they would feel from a cat scratch.

I have dogs and cats, and each of them shows their love in their own way. I wouldn't have even given this thread hijack a second look if not for the fact that my cat of 11 years, who slept on my pillow every night for the last eight years, died in my arms just three hours ago after suffering from an ailment that the vet wasn't able to diagnose. So this thread struck a particular nerve with me and quite honestly has put me in a vile ******* mood. My cats never once stepped outside our house. One time there was a dog in my neighborhood that got loose and tried to rip through a screen window to get at one of my cats. The dogs owner showed up in the nick of time for if that dog had been there about 30 seconds longer it would have had a 9mm lodged in it's cranium. I love my pets with all my heart. Talking about the satisfaction you get by letting your dogs rip cats limb from limb makes me wonder if the same people tuck their dick between their legs.

Wow, HFN. Get that hate under control or you'll burn up.

My pet cat who was a member of my family for 11 years died in my arms today and people are talking about how fun it is to watch their dog chase and kill cats. Maybe you could say you caught me on a bad day but my eyes hurt from crying and I'm not in the mood.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

I also like both cats and dogs and tried to avoid posing in this thread but all of the ignorant machismo got to be too much.

Again, I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

Hey roaming cats, heads-up: this is the guy you don't want to mess with. Stay out of his yard and you'll be fine. If you choose to trespass on his property, you'll be dealt with harshly. This has been a public service announcement for cats and their owners who let them out to roam around.

I understand your grief, HFN. You are clearly a responsible owner in that you never opened the door to allow your cat to roam and be a predator. Thank you for that, and I'm sorry you lost your pal. :(

My cat Charlie would kick your *** Vintage! He is an outside cat that kills and eats Mice, snakes, birds, bugs moles whatever it can catch. I love Dogs but there is nothing wrong with an outdoor cat. Inside cats not so much.
Also sorry for your loss HFN. I recently lost my 15 year old German Shorthair to old age. I hate the feeling of losing a pet. Hang in there. Time heals wounds.

i feel ya on attitude towards dogs on the loose.

my parents have a neighbor with a rottweiler who got out on occasion and took a toll on a couple of their cats (the dog actually broke thru a screen on a side porch of my parent's home to get at them), so i know how you feel. one time the rott was out of it's yard and in my parent's back yard, and i was on their deck. i picked up a tennis ball sized landscaping stone (probably just a bit smaller than tennis ball size) and made a 30 yard throw and drilled the thing right between the eyes. dog never ran as fast, back towards his home, in his life, most likely. i can still hear the hollow thump that resonated out of it's skull.

I agree, but it is a nebraska radio station. Im fine with Iowa being an after thought instead of being bashed. I wouldn't be shocked to see things change as 590 figures out how many hawk fans their station reaches.
They are the flagship for Iowa football...in other words they carry Iowa football games and are suppose to talk about Iowa football.
