Just heard Ironside say that Bettendorf has 13 qualifiers. They could give Iowa City West (8) and Waverly Shell Rock (8) a run for their money. 3A could be very interesting this year, if Bett can have a majority of those guys score points and place.

The only weight that Bett didn't qualify was 145 and they should be right in the running with ICW and Waverly. They have some very hard early round matchups that will tell us a lot early on.

I also think that Urbandale is going to make a push for a team trophy again this year. They don't have a ton of guys but they have 4 very legit chances at the finals with the Knight boys and the Moreno boys. Also, don't count out DM Roosevelt or WDM Valley for a team trophy.
 




its impressive these 2A classes are great and even more when a 1A team could compete with 3A school
 


Bett leads after day one. Iowa City West slow out of the gate. Waverly and Indianola tied for 2nd. I'm an Indianola guy and don't expect them to stay in that position but probably fall back to top six before its all said and done. They sent five through to the winners bracket all by fall and advanced three in consolation.
