#41 Bo Bower

I understand that I am not a professional football inventor or all-knowing God like icke Hawkeye. However, it appears to me that Bo Bowers cannot tackle and gets juked out of his shoes on pretty much every play that comes his way.
I don't want to be mean to him, as I understand he is just a young man. But do we really not have other players that can play?
 
41 just kills us out there. I think that we still have 41 in with all the backups is our hard headed coach is scared that Mends with upstage him. He might then actually have to play Mends. Why on earth would you keep in a guy that has been playing so terribly. The second half by 41 has been truly horrible. I am a believer in it's more about how you play the game rather than if you win or lose. This has been one very poor game. Thank goodness an already poor Purdue defense was without their TWO best defenders. We are a very average team.

I can't believe I am doubting the great talents of bo bower.
And don't even get me started on how much I like the tackling techniques of 37 and 44.

Watching him, I feel like he does OK when he is an in-the-box, run-stuffing type of linebacker. Where he struggles is in space in pass coverage.

I have noticed the last couple of weeks that he's the guy who gets pulled on 3rd down in favor of an extra defensive back.
 
Tell me how that's not ironic that Mends/Jones did not play during the time second teamers were in there. There are posters that say the position coach controls personnel. Yeah right. Feel bad for these players that get passed and buried on the bench by 'good stories'.

it's not ironic. But it is puzzling. WTF... those guys didn't get reps with the seconds?

Make sure you keep the blame where it belongs. Its not 41's fault he's out there. I guessing he works hard in practice and plays his ass off every snap but that doesn't mean you're qualified to start at LB on a B1G team. There's about 5 starters that are in way over their heads right now (41 being one of them) and they shouldn't have ever been put in the situation that they are currently being put in.
 
I don't think we have a LB that can play in space, like we have in the past. And I think that's the case with the backups too. Which is why we bring in an extra DB in favor of a LB in those situations.
 
You geniuses are DEAD ON! No arguments from me!!! We have 5 starters that are in WAY OVER THEIR HEADS (with the biggest being Bower) and somehow are 5-2 and have the 13 ranked scoring defense in the country with these pathetic losers playing!!! Keep me posted on how we're doing..............LOL Man, if Mends and ????????? and ??????and ???? were playing, we might have the number 13th ranked scoring defense in the country!!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA............You 'people' ( and I use that term lightly, lol) just absolutely kill me with your absolute IGNORANCE about College Football, lol..............But thanks for entertaining me and keep it up, lol............

He lead the team in tackles today by a landslide (it was funny, because the announcers kept giving Jewell credit when he came in at the 'last minute' to 'clean up' Bower's tackles, lol) and has been the most 'CONSISTENT' LB on the team this year....Don't believe me, Ask Phil Parker....Or ask Jon to ask Phil Parker.........OOOOh, they (Purdue) got Bower in a 'couple' bad matchups today so he is horrible, lol...........Did anyone notice how bad King got burnt on a play today???? Where is all the commentary!!!! LOL!!! Ignorant Losers..............
 
It's just mind boggling to 'us' how little you big mouthed dumb asses know about football, but love to run your mouths off..............I watched the game today with 3 former DII college coaches and 5 high school coaches and 'we' saw a totally different game than you 'experts', LOL.............Tell us more about your 'expert' opinions, LOL...........

With the number 2 defense? Did Kirk not want to risk the chance that Mends/Jones would have made a play which could create a
Controversy? I hope that's not true but I'm not coming up with other reasonings......
 
Mends is so bad at football he can't even get mop up time. It's really weird how the two guys who are most questioned by fans are the only two who were still on the field. What possible reason could there be for that? 9 backups, Bower, and Snyder. Why?
